19" GS-F Wheel or 20" Vossen CVT
Hi Everyone
Recently created an account on Club Lexus but I've been on this forum daily for the past 3.5 years. I purchased my 2015 F sport AWD in Atomic Silver about 3 years ago and have just under 100k km's with no major issues or complaints.
With the winter almost coming to an end, I've purchased RSR Coilovers, a set of 20" Vossen CVT (brand new) which will be installed next month and will be looking for 235/25 and 275/30 tires soon.
A set of used GS-F rims have hit the market in my area and I'm looking for some opinions if I should go with the GS-F rims or stick with the Vossen's.
I like the look of the 20" rims on a GS based on everyone's pictures on this forum however I worry about the load rating of the front tires as they only come in a 92Y vs OEM load rating of 96V. The roads in Toronto are not always the greatest however I don't drive to much because of the pandemic and when I do, I'm with my wife and two kids.
As for the GS-F rims, they are OEM, forged which is a bonus and with tires 245/40/19 and 275/35/19. I did a quick check on the tire calculator and they should fit however I might need a space for the fronts. I searched the forum and haven't found anyone who is running the GS-F rims on a AWD.
Let me know your thoughts.

As for the F rims, they have a really cool look and they’re OEM, which I always prefer. My 2 cents.

+1 for staying 19" and for doing OEM. The GS-Fs are nice, there are also other 19" OEM wheels that I think look good on the car.
I like the look of the Vossens, I'm pretty sure I found the one you mean and if they were 19"s I could see maybe just sticking with those depending on whether you could get your money back out of them.
I'm always a fan of OEM though so I'm a bit biased.

Not sure how you guys ride on 20's or even 19's. In my opinion the 18's give the perfect ride comfort, and also enough protection from potholes. 20's your one pothole away from a bent rim and anything more than 18 would be a harsher ride than I have now.
Not to mention larger rims are heavier.

I have stiff *** lowering springs and put 18s on for a while. It was a very nice ride, not worrying so much about road issues.
But, I'm more visual than cerebral. So 20s on the GS are gorgeous! No wheel gap, the fronts can easily be 245 35 20 (currently 245 30 20 with room to spare) ...... No one has complained about the ride, wife or 3 large kids.

That said and if possible, I would contact the seller of the GSF wheels and see if you can try them on before buying - this would be the only way to know for sure if they fit and look the way you like. If the GSF doesnt work out, you already have a set of 20's ready to be mounted.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
