What model year is the best for GS 350?

Mine is a MY16 AWD Luxury Trim in Atomic Silver I think I have every option except for ML audio and triple beam headlights (I have the HUD display - nice!)
Bought it with 36k mi for $32k+TTL I think. I've only put down like 3.1k miles since I've bought it 10 months ago due to the pandemic but no issues so far. It looks just like the one GS350MIKE posted above lol
I'm very curious about how the F sport and the MY13-15 compares - tryin to get my buddy to consider picking up one of those but he's leaning towards the Avalon or ES350 (WTF)

Thankfully that is not my experience with those features in the GS. I've had great success with the adaptive cruise and is pretty nice in traffic, and the lane centering works very well, though it should be noted that it only works to keep you in the center when adaptive cruise is on. If cruise is off, then it is just LKA (not lane centering) and the only purpose is to nudge you back in the lane if you drift off, so it will ping-pong you back and forth.
The hold feature has taken some time for me to get used to. It doesn't matter how hard you push the brake pedal, it just engages once the car has come to a stop.
I like the dynamic cruise so much that I would never again buy a car without it. I'm less sold on the need for the steering assist.

My 13 Luxury is pretty Loaded up. Love the M/L System, HUD, Dual Driver and Pass side 18way adjustable Seat and dual memory. Probably has more equipment than 80% of the GS's here. Super Tight Handling Suspension too.
I wouldn't buy anything else but another Luxury Model myself. Just each ones own personal preference.

2019 GS 350 F SPORT RWD - White or Silver with Red Interior + buy the negative battery terminal cover too. $10 or 12 bucks.
2020 models lost the USB port cover. This shows that they're cheaping out even more!

Completely agree with you. I think the other guy gave a highly negatively biased review. I will probably keep this GS 350 for a very long time. The only way I can imagine trading it in would be for another ‘17 Luxury GS with low miles in order to get the 18 way adjustable seats and the Spoert+ function. But that’s really not going to happen.

If you were referring to me, I'm not sure what a negatively biased review is but if you meant biased, I'm not sure what you think I was biased on. First, I reviewed those featues in an ES350, which I stated, so I don't know how those work in a GS350 but if they work the same in a GS350, which is likely and/or possible then I don't care about them. I negatively reviewed them because I don't think they worked well. I'm not sure what's biased about that. I have and drive a GS350 and I love it for the most part.

I have this in my 2013 450h, the controls/buttons are plug and play, the 2016+ head unit requires a bit of modification to retrofit, and the 2016+ screen is plug and play
However my GS is better technology wise than any stock GS because my car has wireless Apple Carplay that works without any issues. This alone makes it future proof technology/navigation wise for a long time.

My '15 GS450h F-Sport has all the options and features listed in this thread and many more too (minus the newer style wheels of course, which I do prefer just a bit better than mine). However, I'm not 100% sure every one of those options such as LKA, dynamic cruise, HUD, ML sound, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, middle infotainment buttons, etc., were also available together on the '15 GS350. Just to let you know that you may just need to do some searching if you like the '15 style better but also want some of those features, as they may still exist on a '15.
Either way, pretty darn good odds you'll absolutely love the car, no matter the year.

An additional correction and clarification to my post... While I have adaptive, turning headlights, they are not LED and no auto-dimming like the newer models (not sure which year that started - '17?). Mine are super bright though so not a concern to me.

All in all the safety bundle really works well once you learn how to use it.

All the safety features in LSS (Lexus safety system) and TSS (Toyota safety sense) work the same in all cars. My dad's avalon, my sienna, and the 2020 ES350 loaner I've had all operate in the exact same way. I think if you've never used these features there is a bit of a learning curve and judgment from only a 3 day loaner without doing a deep dive into how the features work like you would if you just bought it is a bit short-sighted, IMO.

I don't know why it's imparative that I like this feature and my flaws must be pointed out for not realizing how great they were. I pointed out the details of how I used them and that I didn't like them. It was my subjective opinion.
