Hmmm... This looks a little like German Over-Engineering, lol.

It's not too bad though IF the drivers and/or LEDs are serviceable/replaceable. Too bad a company doesn't rebuild them. I hope opening up the headlight is doable w/o cutting it on the GS (oven trick)?

That was informative.

That said, it does look quite simple in there. So either an LED headlight will fail due to the driver failing or the LED itself. Problem is the used parts are pushing 1300/side it seems. I think they are very worth it, esp. the swiveling feature, BUT for that kind of change, I'd be tempted to look at other options, clobbering things together, etc.

The only problem is to what extent does the car know the LED or Driver is dead and will cause errors on the dashboard? THAT's the main issue I see down the road. I can probably solder/wire up something else but if the car keeps giving me errors, that would be frustrating.

There are also aftermarket triple LED options.. however they don't swivel... which to me is 90% of the experience and even with those, I wonder if they would trigger errors too.

As stated, LED filaments and power driver boards.
The fact they made it into so many individual parts doesn’t have anything to do with LED as they just as well do it with HID.

First, you can buy them for $3,400+ tax https://www.lexuspartsdirect.ca/p/Le...111030G80.html $1,000 for labour seems steep.

Regardless i'd try to buy a used one.
