Default 2015 GS350 Mirror Tap for Radar

Hey guys, I have searched the forum but I have not been able to find a diagram/schematic of what these wires send power to. This is a photo of the back of the rain sensor behind the rear view mirror (2015 GS350). I want to hardwire my radar detector and tap power from these but I want to make sure I choose the right power lines. Any suggestions or advice for this model and year?

This is the rain sensor plug

That isn't the rain sensor. The rain sensor only has 3 wires. Pink -+12v, white ground and green if I remember correctly. At least that is the way it is on my 13 and I believe 13-15 is the same.

It is the rain sensor for the 2015. I have checked in several places, plus other than that the only thing on the window is the mount for the rear view mirror.

Hey, I just did my 2014 a couple days ago. When I pulled off the plastic panel on the ceiling it allowed access to more wiring. Took me about 5 minutes in total. I used this thread which I found very helpful.

So which wire did you tap into?

I tapped into several places off of the mirror and none gave me enough juice to the radar. What I mean is that the display was very dimly lit. It still made sounds but it seemed like there was not enough power to run it correctly tapping off of the mirror. So I have been using the cigarette lighter cable (that it came with) until I make the time to figure out a better way to do it. It sucks for now but I have been to busy to mess with it.

Default Hardwired into 2013 rain sensor

Hey all, with reading a few different posts here I just hardwired in my Uniden R3 yesterday to turn on and off with the ignition. I wanted to post my experience because it seemed a little different. No one mentioned the LKA being in the way of the rain sensor connector.

I used this kit,

https://www.ebay.com/itm/RJ11-Mirror....m46890.l49286

Pulled down the SOS light console from the front to the back. I had to unbolt the three bolts holding the lane keep assist camera. Cam was held by one last center, like a door panel clip that I pulled down towards the gear shifter. Then unhooked the rain sensor clip (white/pink/green) wires. It is the kind you have to pull the clip down a little on the male end at the sensor.

“Ground wire (black) on mirror tap goes to (white) wire on sensor and (red) wire on mirror tap goes to (pink) wire on sensor.” Said another way, tapped the wires from the back of the female connector. Red into back of pink. Black into back of white.

Tested it worked, put everything back together except light sos console and washed my hands of any grease. When putting up the console, worked from the back forward. Once getting to the last front clips. Put the passenger front locator in first, its not really a clip. You have to kind of twist it up and back kindof. Then you can finish with the driver side push in clip.

I installed my Valentine V1 Gen with a Blend mount on the mirror. I took another option way and hardwired down to the fuse box. I bought a optional hardwire kit that included a Mute Button.

It's convenient to reach to mute at my finger tips when driving. I did not want to keep reaching up hitting the Mute Button long term, putting pressure pushing on the Mount and Mirror adjustment each time.
