Towing behind a box-truck question
I have a move coming up and seriously considering getting the trailer [not the dolly] to pull '17 F-sport behind a 16' box truck [Penske/Uhaul]. The journey is 1000+ miles.
Has any one done this? Please share experience as well as any issues driving up/down the provided ramps.

I haven't done this with the GS but I did it with my Infiniti years ago. I can't speak to ramp issues but I would imagine with my experience with the GS that it'll likely be fine unless you've lowered yours. The front seems to look lower than it really is. If it is an issue you can often add some additional blocks of wood on the ground at the beginning of the ramp to soften the angle.
I looked at the option of driving both the truck and the car and it worked out way cheaper to do the trailer. It also meant that with two drivers we could switch off so both of us weren't driving the whole time.
I would also say, I did Penske and I would ALWAYS use them in the future. They were right on time with having the truck ready to go, the truck was in great shape, was clean, and the staff were extremely nice to work with. Also with Penske there's a AAA discount and it was worth getting AAA for a year to get the discount. I had the 26' (the largest at the time) and when you add the trailer it makes for a big vehicle but there was really only place where things got a bit tricky. Just think and plan ahead and it should be fine. I tried to keep backing up to a minimum. The larger trucks with diesel engines definitely do better on gas mileage and power - although you certainly won't go up any good hills like you would with the GS.

I did find this link about the trailer spec - the angle of approach/entry is 13.75 degrees (on level ground). I couldn't find that number for the GS but I did find this page that shows you a quick way to measure and has a calculator.

Hey AJ - my reading of his question was opposite that - the car is going on a trailer behind the truck and a concern with the angle of entry to the ramps being low enough to not scrape the front bumper pulling up onto the trailer - although that pic of @signdetres car up with the front nearly touching the ground is certainly one of the things that makes me think the front will likely clear on the ramps. Again, I'm assuming it hasn't been lowered and there's no spliter on the front. My memory of the ramps is also that they have a lower angle of entry than the ramps folks use at home for working under the car which is another reason.
