I currently drive a 2014 Lexus GS 350 premium package and was wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to a 2017 GS450h F sport? I've only seen one other and it was a salvage title on Craiglist. Is this car rare and worth the upgrade?
"Worth it" really depends on the individual. Is a Ferrari "worth it?" You'll get different answers based on who you ask.
Based on my opinion, the GS450h is a very good value in the used market (if you can find a clean one that wasn't abused) because you get all the benefits from the GS350 with slightly more power, more torque (you can definitely feel the difference off the line), plus gas efficiency (hybrid owners will rarely dip below the 27-28 mpg number & will go as high as 35 mpg). You get all of that without having to pay a premium off the lot. If you don't mind the CVT transmission and a slightly reduced trunk space (battery is located behind the rear seats), then definitely go for it.
Similar to the GS350, the F-Sport model not only provides a different aesthetic style, but the suspension is different.
How long have you been searching for the 2017 GSh F-Sport? You'll likely need to keep an active search going for months if you really want to upgrade.
If you're ONLY looking for the 2017 model year, it will be very difficult to find. Perhaps broaden your search?

Checkout the hybrid sub-forum.. there is a lot of great information about the hybrid model there.

@Im2bz2p345 there is actually a 2017 GS 450h f sport at a dealer near me. I'm debating going to look at it. I visited the dealers website and there was a minor accident reported on the Carfax 2 years ago. It was front of the car too. First I've seen in my area that looks clean. Only 30k miles as well. I'll check out the hybrid forum

Is it at a Lexus dealership or a 3rd party dealership? I think you've found a pretty rare car for sale. Regarding the damage, make sure it wasn't structural and you should be a good. 30K miles is nothing for these cars so look it over (or get it inspected by a trusted mechanic if you don't feel comfortable).
What I would constantly encourage is for you to test drive it -- most people on this forum don't have the opportunity to test drive the GSh; you're fortunate to have on close by. With you being a GS 350 owner, you probably already know a lot about the car. I would be interested to hear your feedback/thoughts after the test drive.
I believe starting from 2018 going forward, Lexus had stopped manufacturing the hybrid (in mass quantities), so it got even more rare because you basically had to custom order one after that.
Anyway, best of luck and do report back. I'm following your topic.
When I was buying my 19 GS350, they had a leftover 2018 GS450h F Sport. It was my assumption that someone ordered it but then didn't follow through with the purchase. Just a beautiful car. I would have considered it but they wanted $75k for it and I just couldn't justify that. Best to pick up gently used...
