You are on winter mode.
Click them back to summer mode and they will rest flush.

Your wipers are in the 'snow' position. Push down rather hard on the wiper arms and they will park beneath the level of the cowl.

Maybe someone or your mechanic tried to replace the windshield wipers and forgot to pull down the wiper. you can just gently pull down the pass side wiper it will go back to normal

I call this "car wash mode"...

They make a horrible click when you push them down, but that's what you've got to do...

I try to get a hand on both from the passenger side to apply even pressure to the base of each arm at the same time and also when pulling them up.

You have to have them in the raised position to swing the arms up to wash window or replace the blades.

BTW, your paint looks flawless.

I parked nose-to-nose with a pre-refresh model yesterday and the guy was just getting in the driver's side, so I asked him if he knew his wipers were in winter mode... he was clueless and i had to repeat myself and point out how my wipers were barely visible behind the hood. He was still lost and by that time I was on the passenger side by the mirror, so I leaned over and pushed his wipers down. He said thanks and drove off. I guess these details only matter to us enthusiasts.

That is called snow mode you just hard push down passenger side windshield and they will go back down and also if you want to clean your car front glass you can push the windshield up they will raise lettel up and you can lift them vertical.
