Accident in the GS

No repair is going to be 100% like factory. Even the best most expensive shops will only get you 95% of the way there. After the repair you will notice something not 100% and always see it, but to the 95% they would never notice. Perfect paint match and blending especially on a 3 stage paint is hard to do. Not to mention the accident report on your carfax and the decreased resale value afterwards.
I went through this mess a couple years ago and had to bring the car back 2 times for them to fix issues with the paint. In my case someone backed into my hood and got away with it, before I had a dash cam. I ended up getting that fixed and changed by bumper to f-sport. The shop under priced the repair and ended up have to paint the fenders twice(messed up the blend), they lost money on it, worked out ok for me in the end. But since I paid out of pocket it was never reported to carfax, but my repair was 100% cosmetic.
My car has 110k+ miles I plan on driving her past 232k over the next 5-8 years

I would contact the other Insurance company and file a Diminished Value Claim. You need to get someone who Valuates cars, if you don't think you can do it. You just need to figure what your car and others like it were worth before the Damage and CarFax listing. Now with the Repair and Carfax what's it worth? I would claim $8k (IDK?) and go from there. They are responsible for the Value loss of what you car was worth before their fault, and now after. Look up Automobile Insurance Diminished value claim.

The insurance adjuster or claim team often like to pull fast ones on the phone so write em an email and expect written correspondence back from them. We live in a time when we're dealing with multiple things at a time so I'm sure they won't mind.
This could be a stretch but depending on what stage the repair is at you have to consider the current value of the car VS the repair cost plus diminished value potential pay out and check the percentages to see where the numbers fall..

Working with insurance is like a negotiating game to see who can hold out the longest. They work like sales agents and I believe may be comped in such manner too. Having an accident report sure affects the value but how much is debatable. Look up online listings for specific models with accident reports and ones with a clean carfax to see what kind of percentage change you are seeing.

In reverse it kinda of works like a Total payoff settlement in the process of the offer anyway. Insurance companies, do evaluations on total car payouts all the time. I've gotten the Claim payed on 2 accidents I had over the years. It's really not so hard if you have some knowledge before you request the check amount.
Think about this. 1 car like for like has a clean accident free Carfax. Another like for like has a Major (ex.$11k). If they are both the same asking price? Which would most choose like for like except the Accident?

I'm not a legal rep. I just took what I got on my cars to do somethings on the cars and put away when I bought a new car. The insurance company sent me the dumb low calculated estimate. I think the Insurance company are behind that Low Ball Calculator. I told them I could get a valuation form trying to trade the car at a dealer and see what they say. And also have a Classics car appraiser do a valuation. I also asked them if they wanted to buy it at full retail? I settled on a amount I thought would be satisfactory to me based on the carfax and repair. Again, it's just something I know how to deal with.

I didn't file mines, I heard you got 3 years but will need to prove the value and get an appraisal

My future dream cars are LS500h for daily and LC500 for weekend fun, but for my current situation Lexus GSh is perfect.

This guy drove his 2007 450h with the original hybrid battery to 262k miles, until his car was totaled. At that mileage it had some weak cells, but still worked. I'm sure the 2013 hybrid battery in my car has improved cooling and management systems compared to his 2007 and I would expect similar life out of it, but I doubt I'll drive the car to 250k+ miles, would get an LS 500h before that.

"My 2007 model has 176k miles ans still has 7/8 bars of green on the battery meter."

"Update 221k on original traction battery, but the light comes on every 100 miles now, deterioration in battery pack but i reset it with a hand held scanner. I was tempted to have it rehauled and change out 6-8 of the cells, but Im gonna see if I can take it to 250k"

"Update I have 245k miles now. I can keep resetting the codes and my traction battery still gets 7-8 bars green. You case sounds like too many bad cells."

"I was driving on my original traction battery until 262k miles when I hit a dear on the highway and it totalled my front end and the Insurance company wrote it off. It probably would have still gone to 300k miles with a few weak cells."
