Default How many miles can a GS last w/ good maintanence?

My 2013 GS just hit 109k miles. With good maintenance how many miles do you think a GS can last? I put about 20-25k miles on a year in stop and go rush hour traffic about half the time. I've debated buying a newer car but this one has been so reliable it's hard to move away from.

I would guesstimate about 400- 450k miles until you start to see real problems or loss of compression, given you do maintenance only and do not replace any item until failure
. I know on reddit in the Lexus sub there is a IS350 with 336k miles and he says the car runs great. think most engines tend to have some wear at around 400k, but I could be wrong about the 2GR-FSE.

My 2013 f-sport currently has 194,xxx and have had no issues. I actually just went to Vegas (from Santa Barbara, CA to Las Vegas: 600+miles) and would totally go again and not be worried about it taking my car again

When it comes to oil changes, I perform mine at every 5,000 miles instead of the 10,000 that Lexus suggests

I'm at 110k+ miles, my goal is to go past 232,505. That's the mileage of my first car when I sold it I'm sure it will do that and more. Zero issues with the car other than replacing the sunroof seal. The only major failure would probably be the hybrid battery but there is a guy in the 3gs forum who drove the car to 270k+ and still rocking the original hybrid battery until he totaled the car. It had a couple weak cells but he thought he could get it to 300K before the battery totally died.

I'd be curious what your interior looks like at that mileage. How has it held up? My 2013 GS350m when I bought it had two previous owners yet it was still in excellent condition on the interior. I'm a little OCD about taking care of the interior and am careful about what I touch and how I touch it so as not to scratch, damage etc. Due to a wallet in my pocket and the way I was getting out of the car I did some scuff damage to the semi-aniline seats but it's very minor and so the seats still look very good. I would see it as a challenge to see how good a car with multiple 100-200k miles could still look.

Engine and transmission components should last a long time with high mileage. However, most maintenance recommendation details from Lexus only go up to 150k - 200k. I think other wear and tear components that are pricey may begin to fail once you pass the 150k mark - things like air conditioning/heating systems, infotainment systems, exhaust components, exterior/interior body components, suspension, etc.

It'll last for as long as you're willing to keep it. I had the same thought as you to drive it until it died. None of mine has died and they have tons of miles on them and I still own them all but just don't use it as much anymore.

Wow, all these stories are great to hear. Sounds like these cars are tanks (kinda expected since its a lexus) and mine should (knock on wood) last quite a while longer. I'm probably looking for it to last 3 more years so that seems doable.
