Default GS 350 Tech Stream

Does anybody have a recommendation on Tech Stream, or a link? I would like to change some factory settings. I also want to be able to monitor transmission temperature for proper refill after I service it. Live data perhaps. Or maybe a obd scanner. I'm new at this, so any advice would be great. Hoping not to spend too much money.
Thank you for any response.

The cable depends. Some of the older cables will work on the 13+ but you may lose the ability to customize some settings, program the tpms sensors or even not communicate properly with the onboard system. There is a security chip that you need to look for when looking for a techstream cable.

There is one that I bought that works with Jag/LR, Volvo and Toyota/Lexus products. It's a red dongle, mongoose knockoff, and it works for customizing setting and tpms reliability.

Thanks for the info. I actually researched this a bit. I now kind of know what tech stream is. Has anybody have any recent links, info on Tech stream cable and software. I have a 2013. I want to change some personal settings and monitor transmission temp. Thank you for any responses.
Oh yeah. Anybody have a laptop I can borrow?? I'm just kidding about the laptop.

Thanks.
One of the reviews said that he couldn't program his let key fob. Do you think that's an issue with the cable? I actually need techstream to program a key fob because the dealer wants to charge $300 for that.

I am finding out in my short time researching that the different software work better on different years. Firmware, software, 32 bit, 64 bit. Arggh. Anybody else would like to school me please. Pretty new at this.

Techstream will only program new keys, not used ones so tale that with a grain of salt. To program used keys there is another step

I had the same problem with same unit. I didn't have a problem in unzipping the program. But I did unzipping the driver. Make sure you unzipped the rar file on driver.
FTDI Driver's might help. I downloaded one of them. I went to device manager and it found the driver. Not sure which one device manager loaded. But it works now. Just can't read DATA List for my ECT. That's a different issue.

Question anyone. I understand to not start car during hooking up techstream. Can I run it in accessory, or does it have to be ignition on??
Also, if I am to receive live data of engine running, don't I need to start the car then? At what point do I start the car??

I would strongly suggest buying a quality cable, this is the best for the price:

Tactrix Openport 2.0

https://www.tactrix.com/index.php?op...ed=1&Itemid=53

I used the cheap ebay cable for a bit, then it started giving issues. not worth the hassle.

You can start the car to get live data readings. Initially, the vehicle has to be in the on position (two button press with the start/stop button) to do any freeze data/code reading.
