My subs beat the trunk keyhole unit out. Please help.....
Hello everyone. I have 2 American Bass XFL subs on a 6000W Taramps Amp. The subs have beat the keyhole unit/mechanism loose. It’s now just dangling in my trunk behind the trunk lid carpet. I can’t seem to figure out how to reattach it.
After further investigation, I see that the metal tabs have literally snapped. I’m not sure how I’m gonna fix this. Maybe weld it back on?? I may try super strong glue first.....

Beats so hard that it broke off my rear window visor and I had to reseal the rear window glass. This week the bass also broke the gas cap clean off. It literally broke off onto the floor. I fixed it and had to add foam pieces to buffer the violence at the gas cap. Inside it sounds so clean. But turn up the bass **** and I can make passengers hyperventilate.

Do you also realize that the same violence's and damage its doing to those things are also creating damage to you ears and ear drums? The damage can be ill reversible and long term.

Thanks for your concern about my ears. I’m 40 and have been a master installer and speaker head since I was 18. I was a master installer at Circuit City as a kid. I don’t drive around on full tilt everyday. But I do like to feel my music.

Ok so you know what I'm talking about. Some don't realize how much damage it can inflict.
Wow I have never thought about that possibility. I have an alarm and it would be extremely hard to remove my subs. They weigh 150+ pounds and are bolted down. I don’t see any other damage than the cylinder busted out.
Thanks for the tip. That possibility completely crossed my mind.
