you just talking about the front? not really aware of many that don't use the shades to keep them up. if you want something extra for the sides then theres groovy sunshades on ebay. I got me a pair and the back fits without clips but the front will require using clips. bad thing is they only sell the magnetic clip set now which is 50$ more than what I got

HeatShield. They're custom cut, so they fit in the windshield without using the visors, but usually put them down just so it's a little more secure. Many dealers either stock them or can order them, especially in the SF Bay Area since it's a local company.

I have the Covercraft and it’s a well made product, fits well and does what it’s supposed to, but... it’s like I’m folding a sheet of plywood in the confines of my front seat. A serious PITA every day. I wish it was made of foam and foil like most other sunshades I’ve used in the past. I’m just about ready to give it up.
The heatshield looks like a good alternative for me, but let me get home first and do a little research before pulling the trigger.
Does any other CL members have a sunshade they find useful and easy to live with?

I got Weathertech. They have a whole set of 8 shades: front, rear, all four windows and then the little rear wings for about $130 and $50 for just the windshield.
I like them pretty well and in terms of the front I don't have to lower the visors as it stays put pretty much on its own but not sure what it will do as it ages as it's possible that it might shrink and sag. It's pretty thick corrugated material and is pretty stiff. I kind of have to bend it around the mirror area to get it up so I don't touch and disturb my rear view mirror but it is loosening up some. I'm also in Phoenix but only got it in the fall so haven't used it in the heat yet. For the times I have used it has seemed to keep things cooler than my last car with different shades but my GS has darker window tint which may be more of a factor. It's also a rollup and I find it kind of cumbersome to unroll and rollup but it's not a deal breaker.
On the other windows if you're interested them, they fit snugly in all the side windows. The only problem is that I have the luxury package with rear manual shades and the rear power shade and the hooks for the built-in rear door shade make it difficult to insert/remove these shades. The Weathertech window shades all have a pull tab at the top to make it easy to remove from the window. Without the pull tab it would be pretty tough to get out as they fit very snugly, which is a good thing but the built-in hooks block you from pulling the shade out so you kind of have to work your finger under the shade and bend and pull it out.

Thanks for all the input. Seems like my hope of finding one that doesn't require the visors to be pulled down just isn't going to happen. Leaning toward trying the heatshield.

I mentioned above that the Weathertech doesn't need the visors. I just couldn't say that it would never need them as it might eventually sag or droop but for now it doesn't need the visors.
