Default Radio reception issue....maybe?🤔

So I have a 2015 GS350 base with 70k miles that I purchased 2 months ago and it has this issue where it will play the radio sometimes and other times it won't. The times it won't play I notice that the station flashes in and out like it can't find a solid signal but it will work in my driveway sometimes and sometimes it won't....very frustrating. So just listening to music through blue tooth has been really my only option. Does this have to do with the HD Radio digital signal in which it needs a super strong signal to even work and can I just turn off the HD part? Any advice would be great and new member here 🖐🏻

Ditto. I've also found (assumed) that radio stations are transmitting with less strength over the last few years. Stations that I received easily 10 years ago now cut in and out, same locations, in the same garage, etc.

Compared to other Lexus we have owned (ES, GX, and 3 RXs); our ‘13 GS has horrible radio reception. This includes XM radio. I use USB, CDs, or Bluetooth music unless I’m within 10 miles of the radio station tower.

Does it have window tint? Depending on the type of tint, it could be interfering with the radio signal. I have ceramic tint and my stations are coming in loud and clear.

You can turn off the HD radio portion. It's a setting in the radio menu.

It does have window tint now but didn't when I purchased it, but didn't change any reception issues. You can see the station number coming in and out but no sound coming through...but then when it does work it's perfect with no issues.
