Just for fun…let’s see who has put the most miles on their GS engines.
I’ll start, mine is 149,589 and the engine hasn’t had a single issue since I purchased it at 113,000 (knock on wood). Engine is invincible if you keep up with it…tires and brakes on the other hand…expect to spend a fortune keeping up with those.

66k. 65k a few weeks ago when I first took it home. Question, (tires I get) but why will I spend a fortune keeping up with brakes?
I just traded my 2013 GS in with 153397 miles. No major issues, just the normal maintenance of brakes, tires, oil change and battery during the 5 years I had it. Dealership gave me about 14900 (including tax credits) for it. Had one accident on the car fax when someone hit me while the car was parked. They turned it around and put it in their auction and sold it for 15k. This was last week.

I've got a 2013 GS350 RWD with just over 90,000 miles and bought it at 64,000.
If you have an FSport they have more expensive two-piece rotors which might cost around $800.00-$1,000.00 for a set for just the rotors, not sure exactly though as I don't have an FSport. If you have a standard GS I don't think brake parts are expensive. I've priced replacing all rotors and pads for around $450.00 and you don't need to replace rotors very often. For the record, I'm typically very easy on brakes. Since I've been driving since 1992 I've never had to do any brake work on any car I've owned except my first car, a Supra, which had worn out brakes when I bought it.
Brakes experience seems to depend on AWD vs. RWD as well. I have a 2017 FSport AWD. I am still on the original rotors and second set of front pads. 104,000 and counting.
My 13 had 140k miles on it. ZERO issues. The 17 had 60k miles. Zero issues. My new 2020 (bought in November) has a whopping 4,000 miles on it.
What trims/options were each? Also, what made you go from the 17 to 20? I just switched from the 13 to 17, main reason being I wanted a luxury trim for the smoother ride. May consider the 20 model if I’m ever able to find one in sonic blue.
13 and 17 were Base GS350 AWD. very little options besides cold weather pkg. My 2020 is a AWD F-sport with every option. I've always loved the GS. I had two BMW 5 series that were incredible cars and rode/handled better than the GS, but the cost to maintain was just ridiculous. The GS was a a solid second to the 5 series, but came with much less headaches and the cost to maintain of a Camry. We are in a transition period for autos. V8's are going away, soon the V6s will be next. We upgraded to a 2018 LX last May to get one of the last V8s. I decided late last year that i better grab one of the last GS produced. I'll will be having a competition between the GS and my LX for which will last longer. After that i'm sure electric will be the norm and i'll forcefully get on board.
my '14 just ticked over 163,000. runs perfect, drives perfect. previous owner had all services done @ lexus, so i had no issue buying it with over 150k.
