Default GS AWD Tire life

Hello all, I have been reading a lot on the IS forum and I am well aware of the inner tire ware issues associated with the IS and the fact that it eats through tires. Since the IS and GS are very identical does this issue persist on the 4th gen GS ( awd or awd f sport)? What is the average tire life on a 4 GS AWD? .

Thank you.

I have not experienced accelerated tire wear on mine. I put around 22k miles on my 15 and when I sold it, it had used less than 50% of the useable tread. My IS ate tires much w we quicker.

2016 GS350 AWD here. 50300 miles on the clock and still running on the OEM Michelins. Though, they will need to be replaced by the time I hit 55000 miles on the clock.

Last time I did the wheel rotation, which was last week, all of my tires had normal wear, no uneven or excessive wear on a certain side of the tires.

I am not a very aggressive driver though, so no burnouts or aggressive lane changes, unless needed. 😄

Tire life is a function of treadwear and driving style.

Tires with higher treadwear ratings will last longer, all things equal.
Performance tires have lower treadwear ratings and will naturally be consumed more quickly, all things equal.
Aggressive driving will wear any tire faster than hiway cruising, all things equal.

There's nothing about the GS that eats or spares tires.
You can burn through performance summer tires in 15k or less, and you can get 60k+ out of a set of touring tires.

I got 40K off the stock tires that came with the car. Bought a new 2019 in Jan of 2020.

Yup, it's more than that actually. Just flipped to 45K on my morning commute. My round trip commute is 105 miles daily, all highway driving I've been doing it for years, so I'm used to it.
That's what I drive such a comfortable, luxurious sedan.

I'm on pace for just over 32,000 miles driven in 2021. I have an Acura TL though, so the miles are rougher than in a Lexus lol

I get about 50k miles out of a set of tires and I rotate them at every oil change interval (between 7-7500 miles).

I’ve had all three. Get the GS.

I’ve had one RX, one IS, and three GSs if that tells you anything.

Seems to me with the GS your are getting a more special car that is not built by the accountants. The GS seems the perfect blend of sport, luxury and confort + AWD. I currently drive a subaru forester ( love the AWD) and I drive my wife's 2015 RX which is nice but too soft for me.
