The new Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 are $240 front and $280 rear with a 540 tire wear.
The Pilot Sport 4S, which I now have, are $307 and $355 with a 300 tire wear.
These are Tire Rack prices...
I will never track our '13 GS350 F Sport, 85K. We use the all the time. In Silicon Valley, the weather is, of course, wonderful.
I probably have 30K on the 4S right now... Love these tires. I will need new rubber before too long.
Your thoughts? I will keep this car until it rusts to pieces. And there is no rust around here...
Thanks in advance!

If you don’t drive it that hard and don’t need the grip, the all seasons are a no brainer. Last longer and less money. I bought the all seasons for my GS 350 F sport and am pretty happy with them. Hope that helps.

I had the AS4 put on recently. They have enough grip and are comfortable enough for me on the 'meh' roads here in the South Bay. I'm hoping these last at least 40k miles.
Are you considering going for the AS4 just to save money and have them last longer?

The car is used locally, from Los Gatos to Santa Cruz and to Petaluma. And around town.
I appreciate your opinion. I have actually got excellent wear from these tires, for a sticky summer tire.

Yes, I guess so. I don't push the GS hard. But I love the feel of the Pilot Sport 4S.

Does it have a softer and quieter ride?
Or is the agility and grip outstanding?

The Pilot Sport 4S is the best dry street performance tire you can buy. There is no compromise in the 4S.

I would stick with the PS4S, pun intended. I also like how they feel over all seasons (although the PS4 a/s is likely the top choice and a very good tire). I dont drive very hard either on them so they last but I like the confidence knowing I have the best grip in the case of an emergency stop or maneuver.
I dont have an F Sport and I like that these tires make up for the "standard" suspension to retain the ability to get the most of the chassis, if needed. I run them at 36psi cold for a nice solid sidewall feel and they have endless grip on a hot summer day.

Cross shopping these two now. PS4's are $1418 OTD and AS4's are $1172 OTD. I'm in Miami and I do drive pretty hard, I had the PS4's on my A6 a few years ago and loved them. Price difference doesn't matter, but the difference in tread wear is significant... Decisions decisions

Unfortunately, Continentals are harder to find than Michelins (longer waits for special orders). You can get Michelins at most Discount Tire and Costco Tire service centers, they're almost always stocked.
