Drag reduction clips help keep pads in place and not rub against rotors. Aftermarket pad kits sometimes don't come with these clips.

Did you break them in? Three consecutive 50mph-5mph hard stops(without stopping completely), then try to cruise for at least 5 minutes without stopping to let the brakes cool. When you park, don't let the car apply the parking brake, just leave it in park.

Did you get the ACT series or ASP series Akebono's?

Akebono comes with all the hardware.

Going back to OEM pads and shims fixes the problem. That's what others have done after playing around with aftermarket pads. The f-sport rotors are notorious for having issues with aftermarket pads, maybe designed this way on purpose.

My 15 GS did this all the time. Drove me nuts. Neither I nor the dealer were ever able to get it to stop.

try using a wire brush and brake clean and clean out the mating surface of where the side edge of the backing rides inside the caliper. then get some copper anti seize and apply it to the side edge of the pad backing before installing it back in.

You can do whatever you want, but the best you can do is the Lexus TSB pads for the GS350 F Sport.
Mine only squesk when cold; after 3 stops the squesl is gone.
