Default Opinions on the TOMS Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps?

greetings my 4GS members, I was recently just chilling at a friend's house doing some roof work when a 5 year old was riding his bicycle and ran into my side mirror cap and cracked it. Luckily he was wearing a helmet and is doing just fine
I'm wondering if anyone has bought the TOMS carbon fiber mirror caps and what are your thoughts on it. I wasnt gonna go after the kid or his parents; kids will be kids after all, so that's why I'm considering just getting the TOMS mirror caps just to change up the look of the GS a bit. Pics, opinions, and reviews of them would be kindly appreciated

Lexus sells the oem mirror caps painted from the factory. I think the carbon covers look tacky unless your wrap or swap the base of the side mirror to black. Unless of course your car is black.

My car is "fire agate pearl." So it's brown, but it looks black at some angles. I was planning to swap to black bases anyway since I had the idea of doing black side mirrors in mind.

It is a cap so it would go on top so hopefully fitment will be fine as long as theres no major dents. It's a nice touch of carbon..

Feel free to check it out on our site.

Have you considered carbon mirror cover replacements? These are not Toms, but they look good and only $184 on eBay. I think there are known name brands that also make the replacements too. Once you take the mirror part off replacing the cover is not that hard, all the screws are exposed.

Oh these are perfect. I thought the Tom's were replacement caps, but these are perfect. I will give these a shot. I assume I'd have to clearcoat these once I get them?

Ceramic coating or PPF is probably all you need to protect it. Clearing over it seems unnecessary.

i have elvin's cf spoiler and i love it. fitment is spot on. i had the top of the spoiler covered with xpel so that it's extra glossy. i also have the cf mirror caps to match and i think it looks really good together. eventually i plan on getting the mirror bases wrapped or replaced with black ones to complete the look.
