Default Air filter recommendations?

Going over some things in my new ‘15 I see there are several brands for sale including OEMs but they range from $20 to $90. Any preferred brand other than K&N? And where is the access to the cabin filter?

cabin filter is in your glove box behind the plastic... its two clips on the side and you can pop out the cabin filter..

as for air filter, i just went to my local lexus dealer to pick OEM air filters.. cabin filter is about 40 bucks retail // engine air filter is about 55 bucks. i researched which air filters are best and many folks prefer OEM filter because it is washable so you dont need to keep on replacing air filters.. K&N filter is also washable but you have to oil it every so often..

my take away from my air filter research is the best filter is a clean filter.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Unless you have an all-out track-only car, the air filter that works best is the one in the car. I buy mine off Amazon, whichever ones have good reviews for construction and seals. I personally look for one with the most pleats as they collect the dirt and keep the top of the filter still able to pass more air.

Cabin air filter is easy to swap, behind glove box as mentioned above. I get the $7 ones off Amazon. At that price, I can change them any time I feel like it and they work well. Unless you live on a dirt road or in a really dusty/pollen-infested area, about any of them work well. If you want, an activated charcoal infused one will help with any odors.

Not all OEM filters are washable by the way, only the blue FSport engine air filter is, which is the one I have in my car.

Air filter - no reason not to use OEM.
Cabin air filter - the cheapest one in your local parts store.

Thanks all. Filtered up today, filled the tank and added a can of SeaFoam just in case…Took a nice 100 miler thru the foothills and got 25+ mpg. My last car was supercharged and at best got 22, averaging 17-18.
