Still looks better with the inner brake light wired up. I guess the idea is the inner don't over power the outer. The light basically fades when it goes towards the license plate.
It's the same led as the running light just gets brighter. I wired the inner brake lights, the extra wire is on the harness, and you can tell the difference.
do you happen to have any pics of them during the day with the brake lights on? I just wanna know if it matches the brightness of brake lights on the outer tails. That looks really nice

Don't have pics, but when you install it wire it without the inner brake light first and you'll see how bad it looks. The inner brake continues the brightness of the outer brake light, but fades as it goes towards the license plate.
The stock USDM inner tail light is not wired for the brake light. There is no connection there so it doesn't light up when you brake. You have to wire it yourself.

I just went out to car. I is wired up. It does light up. Have video.

So are you saying you wired it that way? Or was it lit when you just plugged up regular.
I have the newer tails installed already on my GS myself. The inner light does look dimmer when just on lights, (not brakes). The inner light does Not light up on brakes now, and I plan to run the wires across for the outer brake light wire to the inner so that it will light up on the brakes also.

Looks great! I think both lights (older and newer) look good on the GS. Now that the 2016 tails are on, any plans to to smoke/tint the white reverse portion?
