Hello
I had my 15 GS350 AWD Fsport (96k miles) in for oil change and to have my winter tires put on (we live in Northern Indiana)
Dealer said car is due for transmission fluid flush, radiator flush, brake fluid flush, and change the fluid in the differentials. It was also recommended to have the serpentine belt changed.
I agreed to the above without checking the recommended maintenance schedule on the Lexus web site. In addition, I believe I had the differential fluids replaced at 60000 miles. From what I can tell, It should just had the oil changed and the brake fluid done.
I am all for preventative maintenance as I intended to keep this car as long as possible. However, did I just agree to unnecessary services?
thank you in advance

I don't think the trans fluid needs to be done (great posts here btw: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...l#post10662930). If there is no trans issues at this time, I personally would decline that specific service...but as long its Lexus doing the work and they take responsibility, its really up to you. Nothing in our service manual about the need to change transmission fluid especially under 100k miles.
If you had differentials done at 60k miles with your brake fluid, there isn't a need to do those. I'd decline those services as well.
Just curious how much they are charging to do all this servicing?!

I’m AWD and at 68K and haven’t had the brake fluid, differential, and radiator flush. Is that stuff necessary? I did have my spark plugs replaced along with idler pulley last year

I'm at 68k (AWD also). Spark plugs, they recommend at 60k, but I think the jury is out that they don't need to be replaced probably until after 100k. 60k is probably a good time for a brake flush (just had mine done this week). Diff and radiator, I'm not too sure, but assuming it wouldn't hurt.
