Default So MY a/c starts acting whacky...and this is what I find.

So my a/c has done some funny things at times like blow different temps thru different vents right after i adjust the temp. But it usually fixed itself somehow during the drive or on the next start up. Recently its just had a mind of its own. Literally no command that I enter does what its supposed to. If i set the air to 70 degrees and upper body only, it blows 90 degrees, to my windshield an foot. Sometimes no vent would blow at all.

I had my buddy with the Techstream device check it out and this is what we find. He re initialized over and over until all the codes had finally cleared. and once cleared the far left vent blew warm air, the middle ice cold, and the passenger side w/e it felt like at the time

Did you get the recall paperwork about the AC compressor vents? I dont remember the specific details because I wasn't affected, but this seems like it falls under that?

It wouldn't matter miles or ownership, Toyota at least has always been on it as far as recalls. I'll see if I can dig up the details....

I think so, I just got another one in the mail couple weeks ago. Not sure what I did with that letter. This one was from a older thread from last year on here where it was discussed.

I think you call and tell them you have the ac recall issue and see what they say.

Here is that motherload thread - but more specifically a fairly recent post where a member was able to get their dealership to address the issue: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...l#post11220159

Certainly doesn't hurt to hear what the dealership says.

As long as your under the 7 year 125K you should be good and you said your at 89K so it all depends on your model year and when it was first put into service. And yes it is possible for them to all go, I have a 2017 and back in December 2019 6 of the Servos went and had to be replaced..this was before the Service campaign letters went out but was covered because I was still under warranty..would have cost me 2k if it was not. Fast forward to December 2021 the other 2 servos failed..(hmm almost 2 years to the date the first 6 did) again they were covered. Fast forward to Jan 2022 my wifes 2014 IS250 (so pass the 7 years but was under the 125K) started having the issue and I took it in 2 days after the Jan 14th date and they said it was not going to be covered and I'm like its 2 days after and the service advisor said if we do it for you we will have to do it for everyone thats why there is a hard cut off date. I called Corporate and had a case opened..in the end it just required the SW re calibration and had to pay the $119 diagnostic fee.

Crazy how every dealership is different, my 2015 GS Fsport is having this work done right now as my AC was doing everything the post described at one time or another. I think I called right after the January date expired and they told me the date was extended to March, but showed no paperwork etc...and I was definitely not going to argue. They had to order parts and because I needed a loaner it took a couple weeks to get in. I am not sure where you are in FL, but mine is at Wesley Chapel right now. Maybe worth giving them a call if its not too far, just wanted to pass along! Good luck

What dealership? Do you have another Lexus dealership close enough to check them?

Hang on. So a Lexus Dealer kept your GS for 10 days, no Loner and Lexus Corporate denied a claim to do anything? Is this the same campaign assistance letter issue? What happen about a Calibration? Did they not try? Sorry to hear about this.
