Hey all!

New to the forum but have been reading on here for a while. I just upgraded from a 2008 ES 350 to this beauty ( 2015 GS350 F-Sport Crafted line). I wanted some input on upgrading or changing the exhaust. I’m looking for a little nicer sound when idle, and speeding, but nothing that’ll wake up the block! I’ve been told changing or removing my resonator, changing or removing my muffler, or getting a whole new exhaust system. Wanted some input on what’s the best plan without spending anything crazy. Also any mod recommendations?

Don't remove your resonators or mufflers, you're going to have an obnoxiously loud car that sounds like poo. I've heard them all; your neighbors will hate you twice as much. This is a lexus, dropping the mufflers and/or resonators will make you a complete ricer. Go for the borla axleback or invidia axleback which some of the members on here have done. Gives you a nice growl when you hit the gas and they don't wake up your neighbors. If you have the money, go for a full Joe-Z cat back exhaust or Apexi. Those make the car sound like a V8/GSF; they are loud enough for your neighbors to hear, but not enough to have them be pissed. The apexi will drone like nuts though. It's pay to play, so I'd say do a lot of research and watch some videos on youtube before making your decision.

I personally have the apexi axleback and i love the sound, but the drone is pretty bad but I dont mind it. I plan on getting the mid pipe down the line, but that's at the bottom of my list.

 

I was just comparing the two (Borla/Invidia). I've listened to videos on both, but can't put my finger on which sounds better. Would you mind uploading a video of the Apexi? Curious how it sounds on yours.

 

I'll get videos in the morning. I'm already too comfortable in my house haha. I got a good deal on my apexi from another member is why I ended up getting one. I almost got the borla to be honest with you

4) Exhaust: I have no personal experience - have heard good reviews of Borla and Tanabe depending on what your preferences
5) 2016+ Tail light swap
6) F-sport Fog Lights/bezels (iJDMToy makes an aftermarket kit; or you can go JDM OEM spec)
7) Door logo projector lamps
8) Illuminated Lexus Door Sills
9) LED Reverse bulbs, Turn Signals, Puddle Lamps
10) OEM Mud Gaurds
11) GROM or Beatsonic aftermarket infotainment upgrade to support android/apple car play

Thanks for all the recs! I plan on doing a chrome delete soon and getting darker tint. The calipers were already a nice read which I plan on keeping. Working on an exhaust after and will probably get the front lip as well!

 

I tried to get videos of the exhaust, but the tone so deep that my iphone barely picks up the sound. Here's a youtube link, but this is a full catback. Sounds very close to this but a tad bit quieter since I only have the axleback.
