The Lexus should be the daily driver, not the other way around. This is why u buy a Toyota cause they're reliable. Except in this case maybe.

We went from oil change advice to life advice. Gotta love the folks on the 4GS forums. There are no forums like this anywhere else!!!

This thread is so backwards. OP you gotta figure out what you want out of this car. You want it driveable but looking good. No sense in having a detailed car if it can't even run. Take the limited funds you have to repair this car or take the loss and sell it. At the rate this is going you're going to have to sell one of your prized classic cars just to cover the costs of getting this GS running and whatever you have going on with your ex-wife.

Also you have it all backwards, drive the car, especially a hybrid, so sparingly....

For lexus have 4 catalytic convertors, and parts are extremely rare and expensive thats why its not daily drive , in my country whatever insurance u got if your catalytic convertors got stolen u pay from your own pocket, also if i have damage to the car as well,
they claim car is old, and blablabla.

Bank approve me another loan today
so in a few weeks i will return the money to my ex-wife,
so i will became sole owner of the car, and i will drive the car when i want it can be even 1 time per year depends , I dont have any funds into the moment , thats why i get loan to return money to my wife first, after that i will start collecting for repairs or i will try to use it in the current condition.
Detailing is a must i always do detailing for all my cars including classical ones.
My other cars have lpg so they cost me less to run compared to that expensive lexus.

My current GS consumes ~10-20% more than my 1.6 3zz-fe backup Corolla (9th gen). Yours consumes ~20-30% less, since drivetrain-wise it's the same car except with an atkinson variant of the 2GR-FSE.

If the fuel consumption of the GS is expensive to you...

Members I’ll ask again to leave off the snarky and personal comments with mean intent in future threads. I’m closing this one as it is no longer remotely about the oil change.

If a particular member’s posts bother you then simply don’t read it / don’t reply and bump a thread that doesn’t need a bump, or you can add them to your forum ignore list https://www.clublexus.com/forums/pro...?do=ignorelist

Any questions pm me.
