It's in the trunk for LHD, driver side(left), just lift up the carpet panel.

It is. I changed my 12v battery, no special sensors like german cars have to monitor the battery or control charging. Any 12V battery you can fit will work. There is nothing special about the 12v battery in the hybrid. I put a larger AGM 12v aftermarket battery.

ok i am not aware of that, i need to seek some specialist in order my battery to be changed, toyota dealership offered to me original battery at price with installation etcs for around 1000$.They also told me that for my car only original panasonic japanese battery should be installed and nothing else.... i asked them about other battery options.
is Agm good for that car since the current one is lead acid battery?

There is a temperature sensor which measures the aux battery. It doesn't touch the battery at all, the sensor just faces the battery. Here it is:

Also note the vent tube, which if replacing with normal lead acid needs to have a compatible vent hole as well, or you can use an adapter. Non OEM batteries with venting have 2 vent holes (right and left), so you need to seal off one of the vent holes not used or else any gas will just escape through the other one.

What I meant to say is no sensors directly connected to the battery. The battery I used only had one vent and the factory tube fits right on the nipple.

Here is my aftermarket DieHard Battery install post.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...l#post10640729

Here are the specs for the battery:

DieHard 50748 Group Advanced Gold AGM Battery

Group: 48
20HR 70Ah
CCA 760A
11 x 6.9 x 7.5
47.5 lb

The original battery was a Panasonic
Group: D26
20HR 57Ah
CCA 450A
10" x 6.5" x 8"
37.2 lb

I will need to find some extremely good car tuner in order battery to be replaced since toyota dealership works with panasonic only for 1000$ and they never installed other batteries on lexuses, so it sounds quite complicated to me, how long my lead acid 10 years old battery can last by panasonic will it last another 5 years? What will happend if 12v battery dies completely if car is jump started will it be driveble or not at all? Is modification of the tray is needed like Peasodos in case i get after market exide or varta agm battery? In europe cara are with lead acid will it better if i get inside enchanced lead acid battery compared to agm

You can't start the car with a dead 12v battery. Nothing in the car will work.

It's 10 years old, stranded you on the side of the road, it needs to be replaced, stop going back and forth on this.

Like I said before any 12v battery that you can fit in the tray will work. The battery I bought only cost me $175 free delivery from Amazon.

Looks like your car has mild flood damage as well. That is the most plausible way so much dust or dirt can be pushed up inside the bottom of the boot where it is fully covered from the elements.

His engine bay is just as bad:

Maybe from driving dirt roads, must have had the trunk open with the battery compartment exposed.
