Close to 109,000 miles when I had to replace the front hub bearing.

Just looked them up NSK58BWKHS20. I'm going to attempt to do them myself. Were they hard to get off? Also, when looking at Lexus part numbers they have a right and left? I assume with the NSK it doesn't matter?

FYI, this is for an RWD. It's not hard at all.
If you know how to do the brakes, then this should be a few more step. Rent a slide hammer and a grab a couple cans of penetrating fluid. Let the fluid do it's magic and slide hammer away. I also put antiseize on the mounting surface.

Technically there has only one expensive repair that can very rarely occur on our GS. Its the Servo motor problem and replacement is rare. That beats the hell out of consistence internal engine and transmission problems of other cars in the class. Both foreign and domestic. Its does help though if you maintain the GS and not just amaze yourself at neglecting maintenance to the objective of driving it till it breaks. lol!

I'd take our problems over a $7500 oil leaking engine problem fix, any day. Rather have a squeak in the morning a few seconds that causes no harm and goes away, or a seeping puddle leak of engine oil on the garage floor that requires 20 shop guide labor hours for some kind of engine tear down for a new $17 seal and kit or worst?
