Default 2015 GS-350 Trunk Stuck

Hey all,
Any help would be appreciated, My trunk randomly isn't opening anymore. When you click the button on the trunk, key, and inside, you hear the latch attempt to open, but not release and open.
I used my trunk earlier in the day, and had no issues. Any ideas on how to open it/ fix it? The back seat entry seems too small to get into, or try to release the trunk pulling string.
Thanks

Check the Valet lock out button.

Get a second person. When you push the button have them lift the trunk. If it opens lube the mounting points. If it sticks lube the trunk latch

You can use a coat hanger to hook the inside trunk release. Know any small children? LOL

When it clicks like it is opening, have you tried to lift it? Also, try pushing down on it before you try to unlock it. The bumpers might have gotten adjusted up where it is under strain and it can't unlatch under pressure.

I appreciate all the advice, tried them all but nothing. Tried to pull on the emergency lever through the rear craw hole, and it didn’t open it at all. Any other ideas ? Trying to save myself a trip to the dealer.

That's odd that the mechanical release won't work. Does it sound like it is releasing? That makes me think it is under tension. Kind of like pulling a shifter out of park on a hill and it is hard to move it.

It sounds like the trunk opener main switch has been turned off. Pushing the little valet switch in your glove box may solve your problem.

After messing with it for a while, I got it to open. Out of anger, sat in the car, turned it on and clicked the open trunk button inside the car like 10 times and it randomly opened. Tried some WD-40 and it opened and closed fine like 10 times. Randomly tried again later to open normally, and no luck. Redid the same steps and opened from the inside multiple times and randomly opened again. Really odd as the problem is inconsistent.

Sounds like you have a overheated switch or lock motor mech that's going bad.

.. or simply a misaligned latch/hook.

BUMP
Still having no luck with the trunk. Taking it to the dealer this weekend, but would love any ideas to get this open myself and save the time/money.
