2013 AWD non F-sport rotors and pads

I'm creeping up on 70K miles. To my knowledge, the rotors have never been replaced and the pads were replaced in the summer of 2020 and have close to 14K miles on them. I'm going to get a free brake inspection by a reputable shop soon, I can just tell the stopping power is becoming weaker. I'll probably get them replaced in the near future. Any recommendations on aftermarket rotor and brake pad combos? Definitely don't want any squeaking, don't need my Lexus sounding like a school bus or garbage truck. Reduced brake dust over OEM would be nice too.

Highly recommend going OEM for your AWD setup. Otherwise, Akebono pads and Stoptech rotors are popular aftermarket options but you should look through the various brakes threads for first-hand experiences.

Squeak and dust shouldn't be a problem on non RWD F-Sport right? RWD F-Sport folks are the ones with the most headaches. ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Interesting to hear about the dust, I don't think its that bad but I may just be used to it. 2016 Non F-Sport RWD. On the squeaking, I had the same issue that began over the past few months. I pulled the front pads, added a generous amount of CRC Silaramic lube on the front and back of each shim and the hardware. The squeak immediately went away. Everything was bone dry and had no evidence of prior lube from the last brake job.

I would buy quality aftermarket rotors to save some $$ and factory pads/shims.

I would read the 17 brake threads on the 1st 5 pages. It has at least 3 different rotor/pad combo's, price and reviews, that have been repeated about 100 times in this forum already. No offence but, on the next 100 new started Brake threads, I'm going to copy and paste this best recommendation each time. So that's my recommendation from now on about rotor/pads.

Yes i hear you on brake dust. Thankfully it's not too bad (compared to some performance semi-metallics i've had in the past on other vehicles). But the brakes work very well so i've stuck with them (also, cost difference is minimal up in canada for OEM vs. aftermarket, lots of times OEM is cheaper!)
