Default Heat from transfercase?

Now that's it's warm again, does anyone feel there is heating coming from the floor? I feel it radiating from the transfer case hump mostly. I feel like in the summer you have to keep the AC on always when the windows are because it builds up so fast. Anyone feel this in their AWD?
The vent is closed so no air flow should be happening, pretty sure it's the floor radiating heat.

I haven't experienced this on my AWD but it could be the servo motors acting up (unless you're certain its the transfer case). See this recent thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-very-hot.html

It is likely from the exhaust more than the transfer case. The cats get VERY hot, as in fire hazard hot, but the transfer case likely doesn't exceed 220°F.

Check under your car and see if the heat shields on the cats are still in place and there is an air gap around them on both sides.
