I realize we’re talking a few tenths of a second here, but between the variations of the GS, RWD/AWD and 13-15 models vs 2016+ With the slight hp bump, 6 speed vs 8 speed transmission, I’m curious of someone who’s owned multiple if they felt any faster? I have heard the RWD 2013s are the “fastest” as they still had the 6 speed transmission which was better geared for performance, I know the 2nd gen IS350s with the 6 speed were noticeably faster than the 3rd gens with the 8 speed.

All AWD's are 6 speed. I've heard the 13-15 cars are better driver cars, possibly lighter?
From a dig/drag race, I would think a 13-15 AWD would be the fastest.

You can see some numbers over the years here, as tested by auto magazines:
https://www.0-60specs.com/lexus/gs-350-0-60-times/
You can see that there were lots of tests done initially, when the 4GS came out for the 2013 model year. The 2013 RWD 6 speed models were putting down 0-60 times of 5.4 and 5.5 seconds. The one AWD tested, a 2013, came in at 5.6 seconds.
It's too bad I cannot find test results for a 2014 or 2015 RWD with the 8 speed.
The next round of testing came with the refresh, and 2016 and 2017 results were 5.8 and 5.9 seconds.
I'd really love to see the test results of a 2016+ AWD model. I highly suspect it's still at that 5.6 second range, maybe 5.7 if the weight is higher due to new welds and additional equipment added over the years.
Here on CL, there seems to be an opinion that the 2016 GS350s got slower with the new engine and refresh, but I really don't think it did. I think the slower times came with 2014 and the move to the 8 speed on the RWD models, and I suspect the AWD models have stayed consistent through the years and are likely faster than the newer RWD models because of the 6 speed.
My only experience is having owned a 2015 AWD 6 speed with the 2GR-FSE, then a 2019 and 2020 AWD with the 6 speed and 2GR-FKS, I notice absolutely no difference in acceleration between the two engines but with the same transmissions.

Yeah, cars got heavier over the years but so do we. ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I bet if I cut the bacon cheeseburgers for a month, I can get my GS .2 sec faster.![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I'd think the AWD's win the initial dig from a start then RWD catches up and passes.
A 2016+ AWD is probably at like a 5.7-5.8 0-60

You 100% won’t feel a difference between any of them acceleration wise. I’m assuming top end wise the earlier RWD models would pull better

"Lexus estimates the GS 450h will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds, which is quick even for a V8-powered midsize luxury sedan. Its EPA-estimated fuel economy is better than average for a V6-powered midsize luxury sedan at 22 mpg city/25 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined."
It was faster than the v8 version of the GS at the time. In whatever controlled environment Lexus does there testing in it was 5.2. The GS460(v8) was 5.4 or 5.5

Would love to see some 450h hit that number but seems like the estimates were a bit overrated, and in their old age they definitely aren't hitting those numbers, despite their owners claims lol. Thats why the 460 is honestly the better 3rd gen, but I thought they were only talking about 4GS.
