Default GS replacement?

My car is fine, but I may be looking for replacement for my other car once it hits 350k. Anyone know of any future Lexus cars that I could add to the stable that are a GS replacement? I would prefer to stick with Lexus, but anything thats somewhat sporty 4 doors, reliable with plenty of room in front for someone tall would be game. Right now I am looking certified LS500s. Dont know if I could go German cause I drive A LOT, and I will be driving this car as a daily. I maintain my cars well, and a German car would kill me , given I would probably skip MB and BMW and just look at Porsche, given they are very reliable, from what I have heard firsthand and from CR.

Nothing from Lexus is exciting right now. Probably the new RCF whenever they decide to get that dinosaur up to date with the latest tech. The IS line never interests me but they do look nice. LS is too big and LC is out of reach. ES, well I already have one in the family and don't like it.

I heard dealers are still marking up cars right now. Disgusting and I'm not looking forward to buy a car right now. For the first time in a long time and my lease will be up in a year. Might have to keep this one it looks like.

I've always liked fellow member's @signdetres review here of the GS vs LS500: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...l#post10842538

If you're looking for something in the Lexus family, 4 door sedan and similar to GS in terms of fit/finish/reliability, I think the only other roomy sedan to consider is a RWD LS500 F Sport.

Nothing in the pipeline from Lexus. LS is not very nimble so you’ll get disappointed if you want a sports car

Dang thank guys I read the review and a bunch more on the LS. Lexus needs to come out with something, guess I might just look at getting an F as a replacement. Really like the GSF but it's getting really hard to find one that isn't beat up

It's a shame the LS500 is so much heavier. I would love to move up to an LS500 AWD, but I like being able to toss my car up and down a twisty back road. I suspect the LS will not shrink around me the GS does.

The Acura TLX type S looks pretty sweet. I'm thinking about it

The Lexus GS Model S with F Sport, aka Plaid option might be nice...

Genesis G70 3.3T RWD is what I would get if I had to replace my GS350.

Hopefully a GSF, possibly a new IS350/500 as I love the look of the new IS. If I could find a clean lower mileage 13-17 LS460 I’d be interested as well.

Agreed. Although nothing official released yet, I am liking the exterior looks and the specs on the new Acura TLX Type S. Looking forward to reading reviews on it.

A few concept photos for those who haven't seen it: https://www.caranddriver.com/photos/...llery/?slide=1

I think someone on here did a comparison between the TLX and GS and ended up getting disappointed. It was too small and the GS drives better or something.

Oh it's here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...the-4gs-3.html

The TLX Type-S has been out for a year. It is already in its second model year.

Yeah, I agree. My friend used to own the older 2007 Acura TL Type S, which I sat it as a passenger in both the front and the back. It definitely felt a tad smaller than the GS. That's the biggest negative with it (which is also my biggest negative with the GS platform). I wish they could provide more legroom to the back seat passengera, because I do like the expected 350+ hp matted to a Acura's SH-AWD platform. I don't know how the car will perform on twisty roads, especially if they don't upgrade the suspension components. According to wiki (yes, not the best source), I read the Type S platform has "body structure [that] is 13 percent stiffer than the standard TLX, while front spring rate as well as front and rear anti-roll bars are also stiffer compared to the standard model." I am honestly just curious to read actual reviews once the car gets released. Sorry - just read panyo64's responses. The vehicle is almost in the 2nd year, so definitely not new! Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks friend! Sorry, I kept thing it was a brand new model coming in 2023, but it's just some special model called the "PMC Edition." I'll need to do more reading on the vehicle. I appreciate the links!
