Anyone have a K&N engine filter and do they improve anything?

That oiling in the K&N helps trap more micro and large particle dirt/debris from coming in your engine. Even if it's just a few mins more to clean and oil. It takes me less than 15 mins to clean, oil, dry and reinstall. There are a few tricks to try to fast drying. One is the Summer heat.
BMGS have you seen this? I am not for, nor against, but it works on you motor anyway. 17hp. Dennis at D3 has told me the same. I have talked with him at length before about the Turbo Lexus motor and his findings and Tuning on it.

For the oil all over everything blah, blah, blah, posters. STOP over-oiling the filter. Many here who use the K&N have said the same. I have been using them for years and years. I have Zero oil on anything other than the Filter.

Are you talking about the stock size drop-in filter, or a cold air intake? I've had both, and currently have the CAI installed. Honestly, it sounds awesome, but I can tell there is a slight drop in torque or HP, not sure which one. I did not notice a change to my mileage with either.
