Is the parking brake fully retracted? Something from that assembly must be snagging on the drum part of the rotor.
something was - when i finally got the rotor off there was a spring and 2 things that sort of looked like a nail but idk what it was. We never use the parking brake so idk why it be have been retracted
Note that the rear brake rotor has a built-in drum style parking brake.
It is very uncommon for the rear rotor to require removal, because most braking force and wear is on the front rotors.
