Yes, it's several inches forward in a taller person's seating position (I'm 6'1"). Hopefully the outlet will be nice and wide like a trumpet to feed the fan in multiple positions forward and backward. Unlike how the Facebook user posted to force the air simply under the seat cavity, this would be more like "ram air" into the fan's inlet.

I mean, if you wanted to I don't see why not. The duct gives a non-destructive method to get the forced-cooling action to the seat ventilation. Cut a hole of you want, I don't think anyone would see it ever honestly.

I think an inner tube would probably also work fine as a duct, but not everyone is handy/competent with reutilizing things or using power tools.

I would have thought for it to be of any use it would have to be on a flexible hose, or have the assembly cut to suit the usual position of the seat? My and my wife's seat position varies in position from almost as far forwards as it goes to almost all the way back.

Are there any updates on this?
Ive been on Etsy and have seen vent modifiers for IS/RC but not for the GS yet.
This summer ain't it, I'd probably have to fabricate a temporary one out of ABS plastic for the meantime

I've been coordinating with a seller on Etsy to get a nice set made. I have the prototype installed in my car. The seat is pretty cold in about 10min if you have defrost/floor set and have 72 in the cabin. On LO it's much quicker.

But there's a fitment issue, and I'm trying to find the time to measure and mess with it. I'm also states away and wish he and I were closer to collaborate. They've wound up pretty big and take a lot of plastic. But they work. It's getting them to work with all shapes/sizes and hen there's a wiring harness that needs to be avoided. I'm not sure how they're going to want to handle that.

I'm not experienced in 3d printing but I work with people who are, could I buy the STL file and reverse it in Autodesk to suit my RHD car? I wonder whether the vents and seats are mirror different, given I'm effectively after one for the passenger seat ..just thinking aloud.

Thanks for posting this. Looks relatively easy if you find something that will fit

Thanks Peasodos, that's actually my floor duct in that pic I sent in for prototyping.

There may be more adjustments to be had, but my set's a good first run. Hopefully he's worked on a couple of things I sent him.

Does anyone know if the one for the 4gs will fit on the 3gs? The floor duct looks pretty much if not exactly the same.

Alright so I just confirmed the vent is the same. Anyone have this installed and can report if it works well?

I received it yesterday and it was a quick/easy install. I tried using it this morning but didn't feel it too much, then again it was when I went to work at 5 AM so the A/C wasnt doing much. Ill try it again later today on my commute home, expecting 90 degrees today in San Jose
