Is it dangerous to drive with leaking shocks/struts?
Hi everyone, i want to ask you today, is it dangerous to drive gs 450h with leaking shocks/struts , since my village mechanic is fully boocked and i have no idea when he will be able to replace mine.
Can i drive with leaking shocks/struts and what can happen i dont drive much, but how many miles/km i can drive that way?
Because i need to charge car battery and i have no power outlet etcs.... and i cant leave car running into the ground because from the petrol fumes i can die..
so i need to drive it for at least 200 miles or more per month.
what more/future damages can occur if i drive with leaking shocks struts will tyres go bad pre mature or something else ? like suspention collapse etcs?

Forward to 00:06'00" on leaking struts.
The front struts must leak past the coil spring seat mount [roughly the top 1/3] before the strut needs to be replaced.
Otherwise, there is no need to replace the leaking strut according to Toyota specifications.

what can happen if i continue to drive it that way ? What other suspention parts can go wrong or something else like tyres gearbox differential ?
battery i preffer to charge it with driving since none 220-240 volts sockets are available.

my car is 11 years old 2 tons due to gs 450h battery. And with original struts they are leaking a lot,

Best you not use your vehicle until it is repaired.
If you do use your vehicle, drive at lower speeds, and never drive at speeds that cause a feeling of floatiness.
Furthermore, keep a greater distance to the vehicle in front, because your emergency braking distance will be longer, as your worn struts can cause floatiness, the wheels and tires to bounce up and down for less braking and cornering traction.

If your struts are leaking a lot, then your vehicle may be unroadworthy, and you could be a menace on the roads.

Driving such an unroadworthy vehicle can cost you your life - worse, the innocent bystanders.

You want to have some real fun? Take the shocks off a car that has separate shocks and springs. That is a trip! It's like those springy toys at the playground. LOL
