Easy pad swap, you say ? This is all music to my ears .
Loving the GS more every day. Can't think of a better car to own.
Basically remove one pin/retainer, pull the pads out from the side of the caliper. The rear are single piston, remove one bolt, flip the caliper over, and change the pads.
I am in a similar situation with my 2015 FS F-Sport RWD. Local mechanic recommends "Durago rotors" with Centric pads.. ~$700 bucks.. any experience with these two?>

IMO, any decent rotor will work. The only pads I will buy are the TSB Lexus pads. Buy once cry once.
RWD FSport has its own pads and rotors and they have different part numbers vs. the base model but I'm not sure about the AWD FSport, since it uses smaller brakes. Maybe the AWD FSport shares the same parts as the base model.
Replace calipers with a brake job, that independent shop is lying to you, don't let them touch your car.
accurate AF...run! lmao! That's some deceitful business right there. I've had 3 different GS since the last 300 when they first flipped to the more modern body in 06, then the 11' 350 and now the 18' 350...Even though I am on ISF calipers now, the stock calipers on all those cars have been rock solid from day one.
