What Are You Most OCD About?
What are you most OCD about with your Lexus 4GS?
For me, I can handle the exterior getting dusty or a little dirty. I have my habits like refueling when the fuel gauge drops below ¾ full, and always reset the odometers when refueling and at month-end.
But I am a self-admitted OCD extremist about not wanting any (I mean zero) dust (not even one tiny pinpoint white speck) on my dash or on the ledge under the instrument cluster. The same goes for not wanting anything visibly showing on the black floor mats.
I am a fanatic about having a perfectly clean interior windshield with absolutely no sign of dried window cleaner or streaks. I will align the car facing the sun in order to check and discover any streak before becoming satisfied.
The registration/inspection sticker must be put on perfectly, so when it's time to put it on I'll put markings on the exterior side of the glass for a guide.
I also don't like the door sills to show any dirt or dried water spots when the doors are opened - I make it a point to wipe and clean the gasket on the lower part of the doors that compress against the sill.

I used to be that OCD but we had a kid in 1990. I got a little back into it until COVID and quit again. I almost took it up again when the wife decided we need a dog. This is our first indoor dog. Needless to say, nothing is ever completely clean, be it house, car or yard.
But, I'm OCD about any little rattle or vibration noise. I think it is worse in the GS because it is SO quiet inside. My wife's HR-V has a lot of wind noise that is only really noticed after driving the GS right before. My other cars are so loud that I can't hear most of the little rattles in their 50-year-old dashes.

All of the above plus scratched interior panels or any panels for that matters. I think I got a PTSD when the dealer tore up my GS a few months ago. I blew over 1K in one day ordering parts to replace almost everything they touched and damaged.

Not really OCD about anything with my car anymore after owning it for over 5.5 years. It's a nice car, I put 63k miles on it, parked outside. I guess my one OCD if it counts is that I like to park far away from anyone else or go out of my way to park at the end spot.

Generally I am very much non OCD but keeping the car clean has become a bit of an obsession. Annoying that it rains here so unpredictably so I'm always getting irritated when I have to drive on wet pavement and the dirty water sprays up on the car.

If anybody has to get in my and drive ex. a shop. I cover the Console with plastic and have a note that says please to Not put keys or anything on the Console thanks. Just one of a few things. Sometimes at the dealers or else where I look in the windows of other GS's. the consoles on some look so bad. Like soda and things were just spilled. BTW: you can't drink drinks in my car beside water. You can buy one but don't open it in my car.
