Hi there. Long time lurker, first time poster. I am going to purchase a 2015 AWD GS 350 this week and need help choosing between two options - one luxury package one F-sport. Any advice, insight, opinion would be great! Thanks in advance.
Option 1:
47,300 miles, liquid platinum/black, Luxury Package (with/ rear heated seats and rear audio controls), clean/excellent condition, 2 owners, all scheduled maintenance completed on time and by Lexus dealership and regular oil changes, no accidents reported, Michelin tires (tires in fair shape). Clean CARFAX/great value rating/$25,500k
Option 2:
57,400 miles, nebula gray/black, F-sport package, 2 owners, clean/good condition, 2 owners, spotty maintenance records reported, no accidents reported, new Firestone tires. Clean CARFAX/good value rating/$25,257k
Hit me with it! Thanks

@TallguyGS the '15 F-Sport package on the GS is one of the most aggressively-tuned of all 4GS models from 2013-2020. Personally, I didn't get an F-Sport because I felt every nook and cranny on the road with the sportier tires and the F-Sport AVS. The car is beautifully designed in F-sport fashion though - the design has held up well over the last decade.
However, the Luxury package is very rare and hard to find. It has very comfortable, semi-aniline leather seats, upgraded wood trim and in your case, lower mileage. I'd personally go for the Luxury Package for the features it provides. Then make a few cosmetic updates if you'd prefer a sportier look: F-sport grille, F-Sport wheels, F-Sport trunk spoiler, etc. Fairly easy to get the F-Sport optics but underneath, have that awesome Lux pkg.
Echoing the sentiment of others: If possible, drive both - a 5min test drive is all you need to make it crystal clear!

As an F-Sport owner, I would say get the Luxury Package. If it were between two RWD cars, I'd say get the F-Sport, but between two AWD cars, you do not really give up anything over the F-Sport. We don't get Rear Active Steering, VGRS, or optional Limited Slip Differential with our F-Sports, just wheels, front grille, and AVS, and you still get AVS either way.
I would love to have Semi-Analine Leather and I know my passengers would love heated rear seats.

+1 for the Lux. Just so much more upgraded and more equipment. The Rear Seat controls in the armrest are so nice. Of course I have a Blk/Blk Lux so I am particle, but all my GS buddies always wish they had the things I have in my Lux.
The maintenance history also gives it the win.

Definitely get the Luxury package. Prices are still unbelievable, $25K for a 2015... smh. In 2018 I bought a 2015 premium with 20K ,miles for $27K... 5 years ago! Pricing is still over the top. Not sure I have it in me to spend $25K+ for an 8 year old car.

For 2013-2015, F Sport. For 16 and on, toss up.

Not sure why anyone should be talking about what they got and make the OP feel bad. The market is what it is.
Issue is there are still not enough cars in the marketplace. If dealers are paying up for good cars, so will the consumer.
At some point it comes down. Maybe.
So if someone comes in and asks advice, why tell him how well you did years ago? Im sure many of you feel good about your purchases but the op did come here to make you feel better, he came to ask advice.
Fact is there are not many high end Sedans available and few with reliability as Lexus offers. Prices of Camrys are still at a premium as are ES models.
As for luxury, the buttons on the back armrest are a nice touch but hardly a value added to whats important unless the owners sits back there or wants to impress his father inlaw.
In AWD, as said earlier there is not much difference given the limitations offered by Lexus upon its build. Very similar drivetrain specs. The Lux has smaller wheel size that aids in comfort. The leather adds a nice touch. Fsport has more road feel which not everyone has a priority. Best advice given was to drive both.
As for the Modding it to Fsport look, that too is a personal choice which not all will agree is worth the time, effort and funds to accomplish.
I was all about the FSport and loved the handling. The car was super comfortable also. In this instance with 10k less miles and a good record I’d go the luxury as the condition and quality of a car is super important to me. If the OP is hell bent on an Fsport perhaps continuing the search would be good but those were not the parameters.
Not mentioned was the addition or not of the Mark Levinson audio. If the Lux has it thats a slam dunk. That adds to the vibe of car.
