Default chrome lower side molding or grill?

HI there,
i'm still searching for ways to dress up my Fire agate pearl...and i guess i mean to brighten it up a bit. Has anyone installed chrome side strips similar to these: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/351229855626?...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

or a chrome front grill? (i'm less enthused about this as it might be a bit too much bling/aftermarket looking for me)

I have not seen that type of chrome accent for the side of the car before. It might look ok with the right color, hard to say. The placement is interesting.

I have seen some pics of the GS with a chrome mesh grille in the front. Came across pics of one while I was shopping for my car. I think it looks pretty decent, not sure if I'd feel the same way in person. I'd say if it's your style go for it. Reminds me of the grilles that come on some Cadillacs.

Not a fan of "tacked on" trim. It doesn't add anything to the lines of the car IMHO. If you like them, that is all that matters.
As far as a chrome grill, I haven't ever seen one on a 4GS. To me, chrome is DEAD (unless on a Cadi ) . Even Corollas are blacked out.....

I've seen a GS in my neighborhood with lots of chrome trim all around. It did not have the front chrome grille but it did have the chrome lower side molding and side pillar chrome accents.

The color of the car and the look was executed well. I'm not sure how well it will translate on other colors, but...Take a look here: https://www.clublexus.com/g/picture/3938268

EDIT: Another forum member on here TriniGS has a fire agate pearl GS with the Modellista Front Lip with the Chrome Trim which IMHO looks excellent. Just scroll down on the following page to see: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...013-gs350.html

A nice set of wheels and lowering springs will beat any chrome look any day.

I have a little different trim. But I did add it to my GSH. I also did the front grill. I also had the chrome door pillars. But I did not like them. So I removed them(what a pain in the a$$). I have since tinted the windows since this picture.

The upper and lower grills may actually look more integrated and one-piece if you vinyl wrap the bumper in your choice of matt, gloss, or grey etc.

I have them on mine as well. They are from a seller on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHROME-DOOR-...dTRmqG&vxp=mtr

I have been thinking about doing the gloss vinyl wrap for sometime now. I just have not pulled the trigger. The car is almost paid off. So that may be my no car note gift in the spring.
