I want to buy a GS 350 F Sport but i see so many on these forums paying far far less than I am getting priced around South Florida. Please take a look at the car details, i have got this car to 58k but reading the threads, i feel like I see a lot of low 50k buys.

Have you tried truecar.com? or Costco auto program? I have purchased vehicles through both of those programs and it was the best deal with no dealership haggling. Also, I find that the internet fleet department generally gives the best deal if you are contacting the dealer directly.

 

Where in Florida are you? Orlando/Jacksonville are single dealer markets.

South Florida? Walk into JM on Saturday and be ready to buy RIGHT NOW.......

 

Go to JM Lexus. I have bought all of my cars from there and they will negotiate. Its also approaching the end of the month so there are a lot of deals to be had. There is an offer right now for 0.9% APR for 60 months if financing on GS models.

 

Costco pricing is usually $5k off the dealership price. I highly recommend it.

 

How does that $5,000 discount work (not for the buyer) for Lexus, for the dealership, and for Costco?

 

The dealer pays a monthly fee to receive all of the Lexus referrals in their area from Costco. Costco periodically checks market pricing and "nudges" the dealer to price their cars competitively. All manufacturer to dealer rebates are supposed to be passed on to the car buyer.

 

Seems like the car you're looking for is fully loaded with every single option added. Is a car configured like that readily available on dealers' lots? Or will they have to special order it? You might get a better price for a configuration that is more common which dealers have a ton of sitting on their lots.

Data point: I just picked up a 2016 GS350 F-sport today for an OTD price of $52665 on an MSRP of $58885. This included $3k loyalty rebate and $1k certificate for attending the autoshow. This was in Socal with a 9% tax rate. It does help that there are over a dozen dealers within 100 miles of each other so you can negotiate between them.

 

Question on the loyalty rebate. Can you be driving a Toyota and get it?

 

I really don't see how Lexus and Lexus dealerships benefit from Costco. Nor do I understand why Costco should be a beneficial partner with Lexus...any more than customer members of CVS or Walgreens pharmacies, or customer members of Wells Fargo or Bank of America, etc., etc.
