Noise/rattle in rear

Exactly my point - I have done this, but even though the problem was first reported (and the car left for repair) prior to the expiration of my warranty, the service writer "did me a favor" by tightening a suspension bolt last time, even though I insisted, and showed the tech, that the sunroof rattled. He said that couldn't be it. Now the service writer is ignoring messages. I assume the service manager (who is in on the denial, of course) is next on my list, followed by the regional rep?

Finally, after 10 days of waiting, Lexus corporate has decided to repair my sunroof under warranty. In the meantime I've had an ES loaner. Too small for me, and numb steering. Hope they fix mine right. I miss her...

Picked her up yesterday. Much of the moonroof assembly was changed. So far, it feels solid and rattle-free. The car feels so much better, it's like new. The sound grew worse over time and was insidious, so I hadn't realized how bad it was until it's gone (hopefully). The service writer kept saying that Lexus corporate wanted to know my service history before agreeing to cover the repair (only a couple of warranty items over 3 years), the complaint for which was initially brought in with 4k to go on the warranty. As if my doing most of my own maintenance/repair should be held against me because I'm not wiling to pay stealership prices (but mainly because I enjoy the work, and I do it better). The service guy said that he just kept repeating the facts, and eventually, after 3 requests for more info and 10 days, Lexus relented. As a courtesy, of course...
