Default Gloss Cosmic Blue wrap on my 2014 GS350 F-Sport

Hey everyone,

I'm pretty new on here and mostly just lurk around looking for tips and ideas and upgrades that enhance the look of my 2014 GS350 F-Sport RWD. Mine is Atomic Silver with Cabernet Leather and the ML stereo. I love the cool extras mine has like the power folding exterior mirrors, the navigation and the illuminated door sills. I'd say it's pretty much a perfect car for me in every way! I did add the IJDMTOY 15watt LED fog light kit based on the recommendations of some of the users on here and love how bright they are and how they look! I upgraded the headlights to 6000k bulbs and now they headlights match the fog lights.

For the last 6 months I've been looking for an 2015+ GS350 F-Sport in the UltraSonic Blue Mica color but never found one so I decided to have mine wrapped instead. I went with 3M Gloss Cosmic Blue and LOVE IT!! I think it looks pretty damn close to the factory Ultrasonic Blue Mica color. I also had the grille wrapped in a satin black and the front emblem tinted to match the overall look. The side exterior mirrors, the rear lip and the entire roof are all gloss black. I also did the chrome delete and went with the gloss black. The rear emblems and the rear exhaust tips were all plastidipped black to match. The last thing I'll have done next week is the window tint.

Wow, that looks amazing. I don't believe there was an UltraSonic Blue Mica color offering on the GS until 2016+ models but I may be wrong on that. I think once you do the tints on the windows it will complete the look, its just looks damn sexy. Did they wrap under the hood too? Also if you don't mind asking what does an entire wrap like that go for? $3-4K?

@HontoKuro is correct - no ultrasonic blue until 2016+ ... OP they really did an amazing job with that wrap. The only things I would've considered is the 2016 tail light swap since they had the tails out and maybe tinting the current rear lenses...but i'm sure you spent some decent coin on this and it came out excellent!

Thanks! I think it came out perfect!......and you're right, the Ultrasonic Blue Mica color was only available on the 2016+....I mistyped 2015+......No they didn't wrap under the hood, nor under the trunk lid or the door jambs......that would have put the cost waaaaay out of my budget! What I did so far cost right around $3k but I think it was well worth it given the dramatic change and the quality of the workmanship! The tint will be done on Thursday and all will be complete......for now.....LOL

From the pictures, your car looks more like Liquid Platinum color than Atomic Silver.

That does look nice. The blues are very hard to find.
I wrapped my ES in Perfect Blue Satin. Took me and my friend about 4 days to complete.
Thought about doing the GS, but I won't have it long enough to make it worth the work.

That looks good. Maybe when my clear bra gets old I’ll replace it with a matte wrap. Matte usb 2.0 might look good.

I would recommend 3m crystalline. Best heat rejection while not being as dark as other tints. My 40% isn’t as dark as others and I have 70% on the windshield and you can’t tell it’s there

On the gloss, after a couple months of out gassing, you can wax it if you want. Normal washing.
On the satin/matte, no wax, and no soaps with wax or glossing agents. There are special soaps for matte/satin wraps. Isopropy l alcohol will bring back the rich color.
Contaminant clean up on both should be done immediately. (bird droppings etc...)

Out gassing? For a wrap?

It's way easier to just ceramic coat the wrap anyways rather than waxing. Something like gtechnique is easy to install since the wrap doesn't require prep beyond an alcohol wipe down and durable..
