Default Custom Sub Box by Concept Enclosures

Concept Enclosures (eBay and Amazon shop) now has a template for the 4GS. He is pretty popular with the IS members and has some boxes for the older gen GS. Anyways I reached out to him (he’s local to Lexington KY) and met him at his shop. Real clean setup and makes roughly 30-40 custom boxes a week from his eBay and Amazon stores. He made me a custom box tuned to my sub within 3 hours. He does incredible work and I have yet to find a custom box for the 4GS. It’s only about 8-9 inches deep so you still have access to the spare without moving the box. If you need contact info please PM me. Tyler is quick to reply via text and has several different options.

My appointment to get the amp installed this weekend ended up getting cancelled. I now have to wait till Thursday.

In the meantime, I was able to hook it up in a buddy’s GS and the sub sounds great in this box. No port noise and hits really low... now the waiting game begins

Installed... I was surprised by how factory everything looks. Installer took 4 hours to get everything done. Even got the LC2i hidden by the factory amp.

Do you have Mark Levinson sound system? That's a nice clean setup. What did it end up costing you in total?

I just have the base audio system. Surprisingly I paid $575 for amp, sub, box, loc and wiring. I was able to get free installation through Best Buy total tech support plan using a buddy’s plan. The box I got a deal, since the builder needed my car to make a template.

Why does it port on the side? Doesn’t the trunk sides block the port? Can he make the box port into the old subwoofer hole on the rear top shelf? How many cubic feet is the volume inside?

How can I contact the builder? I want this box.

Thanks for posting!

Sorry just seeing this. There is roughly 4-5 inches of space between the port and the side of the trunk. He could port it up to the stock sub but the sub would be off center. It would probably look like the box he has made for the 98-05 GS. I wanted my sub in the middle so the side port was the only way. My port is roughly 10-12 inches long. There is plenty of space between the box and actual trunk.

Size wise I think it’s roughly 1.8 cubic ft and was made for the W3. He can make it slightly bigger or smaller if needed depending on sub. I can send you his phone number if you PM me

Just ordered mine yesterday! Tyler worked with me on doing a custom job on the custom box to fit my JL 12W7. Hopefully everything fits as good as it does for you guys since we had to increase the mounting depth 2inches.
