Default Location of Wiper Relays

EDIT "from the future": The WIP and INT relays are in different places depending on whether you have a GS350 or a GS450h. I have a GS450h and so they are not in the main fuse and relay box located near the driver's side fender area. They are located closer to the firewall on the driver's side, partially hidden by the Skid Control ECU. Skip to Post 9 to see their location.

Beginning of Original post:
I've been experiencing some weird behavior with the wipers so I ordered two new wiper relays. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find where the relays are located in the underhood fuse box. The only posts I've seen that mention it don't describe specifically where they are in the fuse box.

The fuse box cover shows fuses and some relays that don't seem to be related to the wipers, which I can't get to anyway because of the "relay integration box?" I haven't been able to figure out how to remove this relay integration box to look for more relays underneath.

Anyone able to help give me some more direction on how to find and replace these relays?

Thanks,

Open the 'B' fuse box under the hood on the driver's side of the car. Flip the fuse box cover over and you'll see two squares representing relays (in lieu of fuses) that are labeled 'WIP' and 'INT'. They will likely be a brownish-orange in color. These are the two relays that control your wipers. The relays are interchangeable (same part number) so they can be swapped if necessary to help with troubleshooting.

It's my understanding that Toyota/Lexus has updated the relays used for the wipers with a new part number so the part number of a newly purchased relay for your wipers may not be the same as the old (#90987-04004) part number.

Hope this helps...

Chase, were you able to locate and replace the relays? Has it changed anything? I am having some strange happenings with my wipers as well and am chasing down the same road you are on currently.

Thanks,
So I was able to find and remove the 1st wiper relay with an updated part number. The old relay number is 90987-04004 and the new is 90084 98032. Once the new one was installed i no longer had any of the weird behavior any more. The Wiper relays are in the fuse block on the driver fender, both are brown and both are the same number. My intermittent switch on the wiper stalk is still not working so I'm going to order another relay and replace it to see what it does. Retail on both relays is like 60 bucks. Well worth it to not crash because you're F*&%ing with the wiper stalk.

You should be able to buy those relays locally at most any auto store, like Advance Auto, Auto Zone, O'Reilly's Auto, NAPA, etc.

I have not made time to work on it recently. Fortunately, the wipers have been working properly the last few times it has been rainy.

It seems to me they are located in the lower portion under the fuses, but I couldn't figure out how to access them. I have the replacement relays, just need to figure out how to access the old ones to replace them.

Question

Still haven't located these relays. They have to be in a different Fuse/Relay box because I don't see "WIP" or "INT" anywhere, and there only seems to be 1 of the right sized relays in this box anyway. I don't see any other relay/fuse box locations in the engine bay area. Please help give some direction where else I can look.

Okay....Finally some progress. I paid for a 2 day subscription to techinfo.toyota.com and found that the wiper relays are in different places depending on whether you have a GS350 or a GS450h.

And here is where they are actually located inside the engine bay of a GS450h:

Hope this helps.

@NBMES350 - Wrong forum! This is the 4th Gen GS forum.

You should post your question in the ES - 6th Gen (2013-2018) forum
