Default Post Your Crashes and Totaled Vehicles

I figured a thread dedicated to totaled GS350/450h's might be a good idea. Let us know if the car kept you safe during your incident! I'll start!

Damn man, it hurts to see your GS like that. You walked away from that without a scratch? Amazing!

What happened to the other driver of the 1997 es300? I used to have one of those.

also don’t like the look of the driver seat pushed against the rear passenger seat. What happened there?

To be completely honest, I did have a large black and blue bruise running across my chest where I had the seat belt. What hurt more was seeing the car in that condition.

There were three men in that car, the driver was not paying attention and rear ended me at highway speeds. The air bags had already gone off on the first collision I had against the guard rail, so I felt the second impact in every bone in my body. Thankfully I had not removed my seat belt... phew.

The driver seat seems to be designed to give some leeway during a crash. Never really thought about the knees of the passenger behind...

count your lucky stars that no one was seating at the back. They would have sustained serious leg injuries and whiplash as rear seats don’t have whiplash protection.

i still don’t like how the front seat deformed so much. I always through the 4 gen GS seats frame is too thin and don’t have the same structural integrity as the other Lexuses I have or owned.

I know the GS did it's job and engineering crumple zones etc but the 90s ES came off looking much better haha. At least you Americans have another working headunit in the used pool!
Glad you walked away.

It wasn't a 4GS, but a 3GS. I was also rear-ended by dude not paying attention at full highway speed. Thread is on here somewhere with the photos. I'll try to find it.

2008 GS350 AWD....Black Sapphire. God I loved that color.

Back in August 2018... I had my '05 for 2 1/2 months before 2 cars lost control and came at me sideways across the I95 Expressway. I t-boned the Honda and the Kia hit me on the passenger side. 5 car accident, 3 totaled.

All airbags in the GS inflated. $33K+ to repair. Silver lining, no one was seriously hurt, all injuries minor... and this paved the way for me getting my 2018.
