Purchased REVEL Medallion (Tanabe) Axle Back!
#16
Drove around with the new axle back, I really like the deep mellow tone and there is nearly zero drone in the cabin. I'm really enjoying the Revel sound, its what the GSF/RCF should've sound like from the factory in my opinion. Can't wait to get the Apexi Resonated midpipe and eventually headers.
I will get the gopro hooked up and see if i can find my external mic then make some sound clips. As far as watching vids of the REVEL system on youtube, its very close to what you would hear in person. 10/10 would def recommend this axle back if you're on the fence. Plus, it looks really good!

Looks good and thank you for the detailed write up, it will sound awesome with the mid-pipe but beware with headers it will be really loud, and the drone will be unbearable, I ran revel+apexi resonated mid+PPE EL and switched to OEM mufflers within a week.
If I were to do it again, I would just do revel axle back + apexi midpipe and leave the header OEM, will give you the perfect sound and save the money from header
Here's a dyno clip with revel+apexi resonated mid+PPE EL

I can only imagine how loud your setup is in person with the Revel, Apexi and PPE ELs. As much as i'd like to have headers, I might just stick with what you said and then spend the money on a tune.
