Wait til December. MSRP has got to come down, end of story. I extended my lease which ends on the 17th of this month, because they have got to move the stale 2016's.

There's a one percent rule of leasing that helps you spot a good deal. Your payment should be 1% of MSRP. So 899 on a 88k car isn't bad but it isn't great either especially considering you're paying sticker. Incentives are coming. They have to.

msrp $88xxx (don't have exact number in front of me)

i tried to push more but they don't seem to want to budge so i walked (again).

thoughts please?
Not that great in my opinion.. 48 months is pretty long too.

36 months is usually the sweet spot. 24 is too short (most depreciation is up front) and 48 is too long (12 more months of depreciation hurts the residual).

A bad deal all around.

Am I missing something here? Excuse my ignorance on leasing etc.. I'm a cash customer.

How does 900 bucks for 48 months + 5k cash add up to 88k?

Are we talking about leasing to own or just leasing?

Leasing is just paying for depreciation and interest. There's a set percentage of residual value, and a percentage of depreciation. You make payments based on the sale price plus interest but only on the depreciation portion. The residual value stays in the car and is usually the buyout price, so at the end of your lease you can purchase it for the value remaining in the car.

Hope that clears it up. Basically leasing lets you make payments on a portion of the car's value for a set amount of time and mileage.

Deals are trickling in, unless you guys have seen this one before. 800/mo on what's probably advertised as 87k is less than the 1% rule of leasing so there must be some incentives hidden here. Even with the 10k/year cap it's not terrible like it was a few months ago. December will be amazing if this is the trend.

Edit: full details below, this is regional.

*Available on approved credit to very well qualified customers through Lexus Financial Services and participating Lexus dealers on a new 2016 GS F. Not all customers will qualify. Offer based on MSRP of $87,060 including delivery, processing and handling. Offer already includes $8,000 in Lease Cash incentives applied as a capitalized cost reduction. Monthly payment may vary depending on final price of vehicle & your qualifications. You pay $0.25 per mile over 10,000 per year. See dealer for vehicle and lease program details. Must take delivery by 9/6/2016. This offer is available in TX, OK, LA, AR, MS, TN, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC.. Lexus Financial Services is a division of Toyota Motor Credit Corporation (TMCC). TMCC is the authorized attorney-in-fact and servicer for Toyota Lease Trust.

Yeah I'm wondering if that is straight up cap cost reduction or what. They say it's not tax or fees. Well, at least they're warming up. I'll say it again, it's a sign that things will improve towards December. Last month it was 1k monthly to lease.

Fingers crossed. I wonder if the LC 500 is gonna have similar sales to the GSF when it comes out. If so I might have to wait till December 2017 for their deals to roll out for the LC
