My all wheel GS was hit in December and totaled out. After driving it for the last 7 years, I went back and forth on buying a new GS 350 or looking for a used GSF. Needless to say it was an easy decision...a few weeks later, and I finally tracked down the one (much harder than I anticipated). Picked up a 2017 GSF, 24k miles, CPO, one owner, caviar, black interior, black calipers (preferred over the orange). Negotiated from $63k (obviously overpriced) down to $55k. Probably could have pushed a little more, but getting some wheels was priority. Clean and maintained, overall very happy with the purchase. There are so many red interiors for sale, finding black almost seemed impossible while searching. If it wasn't my daily, maybe I would have considered the red.

Since purchasing, added tint all around, car was PPF with Xpel (full front, fenders, mirrors, door edges, door cups, rear cargo), and full Ceramic Pro coating inside and out - huge difference on the quality and upkeep of the clear coat. Brakes were swapped under TSB (thanks CL community).

After an exhaustive 2.5 year search I'm happy to report I closed on an L-Certified '18 Atomic Silver/Red 17k mile example at $59,750 before tax.

Is it a great deal, no, is it a good deal, yes. This is the exact spec I wanted (orange calipers, 3M PPF, and not beat to hell to boot) so I pulled the trigger.

I was hesitant to buy something at this price point during this challenging time but if anything this has taught us life is precious, enjoy it while you can.

From what I've seen it has been very difficult to find a pre-owned, decent mile, certified, example. I've looked at over 20 cars in person and scrutinized another
10 or so via email / long distance.

Here is where I currently see pricing:

$35-$40k: higher mileage, accident/salvage history, beat to hell examples
$45-$49k: decent mile, 2016 MY destroyed carbon lip no brake life left examples
$50-$57k: clean decent mile certified '16/17 MY examples
$60-$65k: clean decent mile certified '18 MY examples
$68-$72k: clean low mile (although maybe tracked) '19 MY examples

That's awesome Len. I've been looking for a long time as well and am about to pull the trigger on this one:

https://www.lexusofnashville.com/inv...p1bl3ka002967/

2019 with everything I want, except I'd rather have the black interior, but those are hard to come by. It's down to $68K. It was $71K about 2 weeks ago. Less than 4000 miles and from what I can tell by looking at Lexus driver's, it's been taken care of. Only red flag is new front tires, but it appears it had an alignment issue, which was corrected. I'd be more concerned if it were rear tires that were replaced. They've had the car for 2.5 months so hopefully I can negotiate that down a little more. We'll see.

EDIT: Just noticed new front brakes and rotors at 1611 miles. Len, is this the same 2019 that you were looking at in previous posts?

That's definitely a good question. One that may have me look elsewhere.

Doesnt seem to be the case here, but you know those performance driving school cars end up somewhere.

Some years had TSB for pad squeal, but rotors too?

It is documented to be a Chicago/Naperville/Orland Park car up to 2800 miles and then it went to auction it looks like in January in MO. What I don't understand is why it was titled in MO for a month maybe and then Lexus of Nashville got it. Maybe Lexus has some sort of auction in MO.

my brand new lx570 with 10 miles on it had its brakes changed. I pulled out the lot and the wheel was vibrating. It was a Saturday and dealer closed. Got the car next week in and they changed the brakes/ rotors. Seems like whatever reason they were wrapped.
its a certified car and looks to be a great deal. If this was close to me I would have bought it already.

The service history on the Nashville car indicated there was only 3-4mm of brake pad left at 1600 mi so this is not the case here.

How does one roast their front pads that quickly ; )

The pads could wear that quick (1,600 miles)with some track time, and I guess if the car sits a long time on the dealer lot the rotor can have high spot where the pads are in contact. I've heard of this before.--Requiring new rotors or turning them (not ideal).

I'm going to pass on that 2019. Too much risk of it being tracked. I'm looking at a CPO 2017 with 10K miles for $57K. It also has the black interior that I would rather have over the red. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the input gents.
