Edit: in response to @CZ75
what the market is now and what it was earlier this year is a big difference. I’ve been thinking of selling my 2016 GSF with 37,000 for a few months and have had trade it offers of 52,000. 2 months ago KBB was say 50,200. Now it’s at 52,100.

I think the F’s will continue to hold their value even in this inflated market due to its rarity. Buying a DD used Highland or something would make me nervous.

Agreed, but in this case, 80k miles for $46k still seems inflated to me. Assuming you trade in and the dealer marks up the $52k to $57k, in my eyes thats still a much better deal for 37k miles. With that said, and to OP's question, I don't think these cars are a bad buy at higher mileage with how well IS-F's have held up and the Lexus brand as a whole (reliability wise). I plan to run mine into the ground and slowly make it sound more and more obnoxious.

Thanks for the feedback. Ya it's super crazy. I really hope that a large part of the rapid increase in GS F values is in part due to COVID. I watched Dougie D's video on it the other day and in early 2020 a high mileage example like this would have been priced under $40k. The main thing that's gonna hurt prospective buyers is that it appears only 2500 giver or take were built for the US market, and about half being 2016's....

"I love the CTS-V & have a build of car that in my file as well...having said that, it's at a different MSRP price point than the loaded GS F build that I have on file.

My GS F Build: $88,239 (ALL boxes ticked, except orange calipers)
My CTS-V Build: $99,680 (many boxes unticked- no UltraView, no premium paint, etc)

So the GS F offers a whole lot for more than $11,400 less MSRP, than the CTS-V. Yes, the GS F's a NA engine (which I sure prefer over the Bimmer or MB turbo cars), and while it lacks the supercharged 180hp gain of the CTS-V, for my desires I cannot say the GS F is lacking in wampum for a street sedan. Lets be honest, the only way any of us will be using all 640hp on the street will be to do one of two things: a nice trip downtown in cuffs, or perhaps something even more catastrophic...the GS F has 120 more HP than my wife's prior '07 Charger RT/RT..and that car had plenty for the street. IMHO, we have become absolutely jaded by the HP/Torque wars over the last 5-10 years.

When you start ticking boxes, at least in my mind, the GS F offers more value...and truthfully, we will likely have both cars in our garage so it really doesn't matter. But I still have to give the Lexus GS F its due here."

Thanks so much for your honest review-these would definitely help potential buyers to narrow their choices down. I wish we get more like these in these forums

Hi

I just got a GS-F, Atomic Silver with Black Interior
2017 Certified with 34K miles for 62k OTD
I did pay a bit more due the market conditions but I needed a car/ wanted it.
Coming from a 2010 Infiniti G37x with 245K miles

I had this thread bookmarked and your insight helped me out over the last year of looking.

Thank you
~Shan

Congrats on your new GSF. As a fellow previous G37 owner, I can attest to the fact that the build quality and fit/finish is far superior on the GSF.

As long as you have a good warranty as CTS will start to fall out after 30K

Found a listing that's too good to be true. Buyer beware.

https://www.autotempest.com/details/...60538166382894
2017 w/16k miles asking 55k.

Google'd the VIN and here is what I found...

https://en.bidfax.info/lexus/gs/3351...2ha002080.html

Salvage title vehicle sold on auction back in 2019 for $27k. Also what's even more odd is the mileage discrepancy. It now has 613 miles less than it did 2 years ago.

ETA: ha, so the vehicle is sold (of course). Dealer is just using it as a way to draw people in so they can sell them something else. Hate when dealers do this.

Beautiful and congrats. Wish this color combo was available now that I’m in the market for a GSF.

Fellas, what are you thoughts on a 2017 w/less than 50k miles going for $52k? I'll pull the trigger if ya'll say it's a good deal.
