The thing is, if they did a good job, and you didn't notice, there's no material impact on the car's value. Furthermore, since the dealer repaired it fresh off the boat at their own cost, it won't hit a Carfax or any other report, therefore you will not suffer the pain of devaluation if you decide to buy it (if you're leasing) or if you sell it later.
I'd be concerned if it DID hit a carfax because then the dealer would owe you cash for loss of value to compensate for what you paid for as a new, unrepaired car. That's why dealers will tell you straight up if a new car has been repaired (or a demo, or a CPO, etc.). They must disclose certain repairs that negatively impact resale value. Your repainted pillar doesn't negatively impact value. Think if this had been done at the factory before it ever got on the boat (which also happens all the time during final QA inspections). Same story.
Emotionally, I'm sure it's a little thump, but from a practical, financial perspective, no problem.

As others had stated, this happens a lot and happened to me years ago when I bought my BMW. A few weeks after purchase, I noticed a dust particle imbedded in the paint - a sure sign that it was repainted. I was pissed that this was not disclosed to me and now I knew why the delivery of my special ordered car was delayed a week and half. However, there were no other issues with the car and I loved everything about it so I just let it go and never had a second thought about it in the 13 years of ownership. One of the best cars I ever had.

I don't own an F but, when I bought my 14RX 2 years ago used, I spent a good hour inspecting the car for any flaws especially the paint. I know not everyone knows what little telltale signs to look for on a repaint. Whether buying new or used one must spend extra time inspecting a car head to toe and forget what the salesman thinks wanting you to just buy the car. I totally understand the frustration finding out after the fact.
